Suspension

What are all you guys running suspension wise?

I've been looking at Megan racing coilovers, but seems like they are $1200 before shipping from BC.

Any local shops with decent pricing? Or is Canada just more expensive?

Everything cost more in canada. Bc coilovers works out to b cheaper shipped from the states, or u can go to nextmod and order it from them, if money is not an issue then go for AIR.

Money isn't so much an issue, but at the same time I won't be spending that much on AIR haha

That's a solid price, I'm only looking to close the gap without slamming, so this might be the way to go. How's the ride on them? Basics don't have dampening right?

I was shocked the price too.

As for the ride, I have nothing to compare it to.
I also wanted to close the wheel gap and wasn't interested in dampening. Of course nothing compares to the factory ride so you will have to give up some comfort.

From what I understand, most coilovers offered to us are basically entry level coilovers. You only get in to top teir category when you talk about names like Zeal and Endless to name a couple and neither of those are offered for our cars.

For the price of the Basics, I can't complain too much.

They do have a sweet spot. Set them too high or too low and the ride can get unforgiving. I have the front set at 25.25 and rear 25 inches from ground to fender. You can probably take .25 from those numbers and still get a decent ride.

Don't quote me on the price though. All I remember is that I bought the Baiscs along with a Magnaflow res and I didn't pay more than $900 after taxes.

Okay great thanks for the info man. I'm definitely okay with giving up a bit of comfort to close the hideous wheel gap, especially since I'll be running XXR530s soon

I'm running Tein SS, a little on the soft side if you plan on slamming the car.

Definitely won't be slamming. BC might be the way to go. I still have a lot of time to figure it out, but thanks everyone for the help!
