Performance Body Shops in the MetroToronto area

I know this topic may have already been talked about or asked before but if anyone can help me out...I would really greatly appreciate any information...if anyone here is from Metro Toronto or Scarborough, are there any good performance body shops in Scarborough that are very familiar with installing Ronjon body kits for Acuras? I am also looking for a good body shop that's good with tinting, and of course, affordable.

Thanks guys!

Thanks man...if you don't mind me asking, how much did they charge you for the installation of your a-spec kit? Are they in Scarborough?

Different kits have different labour charges, so best is to contact them directly.

Ask for Barry and say Chris sent you and he will take care of you.

^ I agree...Take the stock bumpers off, and the RJ should just bolt on in thier place. The Aspec kit install is a bit more complicated because it requires drilling into the OEM bumpers, but I did mine myself, and I had no previous experience with anything like this. RJ should be easy.

Thanks guitarplayer16! I'm really not usually good at installing stuff in the car, let alone a body kit...I'm actually looking at have the whole Ronjon body kit installed and from what I have read in some of the Ronjon body kit install, the rear part of it is tricky and just won't fit unless extra modification is done...btw, guitarplayer16, do you have any idea how much would it cost me to buy the whole Ronjon body kit?...say, painted and unpainted? I know there's a Ronjon member here, will he be able to give me a discount?

No problem ! =)

The install is pretty straight forward.

Check this out:
https://acurazine.com/forums/showpos...26&postcount=6

Pricing for the whole kit right from their website:

-Polyurethane only: $1500
-Prepped and Primered:
$1900
-Painted OEM Metallic Color:
$2150
-Painted OEM Pearl Color:
$2350
Your best bet would be contacting rondog the man himself

After some very agonizing decision, I've decided to go with the A-Spec body kit mostly basing my decision with the price. I've contacted rondog and had asked him for any current or future group buy, or even just to give me a reasonable price break and he didn't even budged...seems like he is or was having issues with his own supplier at the time. Recommended that I go and contact Toronto Honda who is the only authorized RonJon dealer here in Ontario. I was considering going to them for a while what with the very hefty price of 2,600 for a WDP kit. Takes 3 weeks and they will install the whole thing for me, but in the end, 2,600 would buy me more mod parts for my TL than burning 2,600 for a body kit...don't get me wrong though, I would go for a RonJon body kit without any hesitation if the price wasn't that hefty, even at $1,500 USD for an unpainted version, it's still a little bit more expensive! At a $1,000 USD would have been more reasonable IMHO.

Anyway, I did purchased the whole A-spec body kit from AckTL05 and just waiting for it to arrive (hopefully when Canada Post gets their act back together!).

Here's another question if anybody can just give me their input:

Will the whole box fit on my TL if I bring it to a body shop?

Not sure which body shop to take it yet, so far, Velocity Autobody has been suggested by ch1zo. Does anyone here knows of any good and honest body shop that are experienced in installing the A-spec for Acura's? I'm kind of leery at this point that if I take it to just anyone's body shop, they'll probably end up studying the whole manual first and then start putting the pieces together. I would really appreciate any input from a fellow Torontonians, or Canuck...

Happy Canada Day everyone!!

You wont regret with velocity, just tell him Chris sent you with silver TL-S and he will take care of you. I can meet up with you one day if you wanna see the install or view any of my pics. PM me if u want the link.

No, you will need to remove the parts out of the box (i tried) originally and all the pieces will fit in your car no problem to take to the bodyshop.

Save money - You can install it yourself man.

Take a look at the instructions, and realize how easy it is to install.

I drove down to Buffalo and installed it at Tim's (OEMAcuraParts) house in a couple hours and drove back home...

The only "special tool" IIRC, is a drill & drill bits. Everybody should have a drill at home anyways. Screwdrivers is a no-brainer.
