Thanks ch1zo. I'll give them a call. SimplyTire was cheaper too except that they don't have it in stock and apparently there's a huge backlog for it at Conti.

No prob bro, ask for Tony @go for tires or Allen @simplytire and say ch1zo/Chris Tin referred u they are both good friend of mine. I would suggest the hankook w409 i-pike, great winter tire and better price. I used to have those on my TSX, but now I'm running michelin pilot alpine pa2

SimplyTire offered 690+tax but none in stock til probably Dec. Tires23 was $820 all-in. Waiting on GFT for the quote.

I'm looking for All seasons and heard good things about the DWS from here.

Those tires were my previous winter set lol

My set right now just purchased last year are Blizzak LM-60s that costed around $1300 after taxes

I'll be buying tires from the state next time probably.

GFT doesn't have them in stock either so I'll be just going to Tires23. Driving in this rain kicks off my VSA! Is that normal for good tires as well?

I'm getting the 235s. What benefits are there for the 245s?

they say that the 235 Conti DWS diameter is smaller than the stock tires we have, that's why they recommend on getting the 245's go have a research on it on the 3rd Gen wheel and tires forum

Loosing traction/wheel hop can cause the VSA to light up.

bigger sidewall. Are you using different rims? Usually they recommend a slightly skinnier tire for winter. Helps cut through the snow better.

Michelin X-Ice XI2 are the number one performing winter tire setup for bad weather conditions.

Having ran them last year I can attest to their ability in all kinds of weather conditions from light to heavy snow and most importantly when dealing with ice.

A good set of tires will definitely make a difference for Toronto winters and isn't somewhere you want to cheap out on either. Go big or go home.

See Here For Comparison

I could only imagine the snow that you guys get up there on the regular.
Our TL's have an advantage in the winter tire being FWD as well.

I can vouch for Go For Tires as well, Tony and Peter are great guys!

I ran Hankook w409 i-pike tires on my 3G TL stock wheels for two winters, and they are great tires. I've also used the Michelin X-ice XI-2 on a previous car, and those also were really good in snow as well as on dry pavement.

This winter I'll be running Michelin Pilot Alpine PA3s on my 18" 4G TL OEM wheels. I've never used them before, but the reviews look pretty good! Has anyone used them before?

I'm interested in getting a set for my new RDX, how much discount they can give you if we do a group buy? My size is 235/55/R18, I would go with X-Ice Xi2 I guess?

Never used them myself, but heard friends saying they are pretty good. You won't go wrong with that tire, but I guess they're pretty expensive though

I was stuck with the choice between Alpine PA3s or Blizzak LM-60s.

My local shop actually told me that the Blizzak LM-60s would do me better (they were also more expensive than the Michelins) where I live and PA3s would be better suited for "the city".

So I went with LM-60s and I'm happy with them even if the PA3s are better and the shop guys are just trying to make more money off me getting me to buy the expensive set (LM-60s)

Oops, forgot to update the thread. I got 235s at tires23 since 245 isn't in stock. In terms of prices, simplyTire was offering the best deal, due to being affiliated with rfd. So you'll get a discount there, but not sure if they'll have your tires in stock.
