yeeeah! now that the meet day is set, time to figure out the weekly/bi meet location/time/day. so far from the poll looks like AMC is winning, but lets get this going.

This is taking off just as I envisioned it would!
Thanks for everyone for signing up lets get voting on the location.
A few other clubs have used the AMC 30 parking lot without incident so it will probably end up being the location.

We need to pick a date for the meet as I want to hold it next week.

How does Thursday July 14th @ 7 PM sound?
Sunset is around 9 pm these days so we want to meet up while there's still some light out for pics

i cant usually do thursdays, i have class tues and thurs from 8-10pm. i guess i can be there at 7 and leave at 7:30 but that would be pretty much it for me

There is now way I can make it out on a weekday. I work afternoon shift, so that can’t happen. Friday I could probably make it by 8pm if I go straight there from work. I think weekend would be better! (for me anyways)

Unfortunately, having it held on a weekend may not be suitable for some members cause they might have "family" time. I always found "Sundays" to be boring and a good meet up day. So we could have one bi-weekly spot at AMC 30 and then have another just get together meet on Sundays weekly?
Whats majority think of this idea?

A TL meet IS 'family time'

It's definitely a good idea to alternate between weekdays and weekends.

The more meets we have on a monthly basis I think raise the risk of having low turn outs (2-3 cars). Maybe 2 meets a month, one week night & one weekend to start?

I think the rotating meet days is a great idea.
Have them rotate between a weekday and then a weekend for the next one.

It's going to be tough given the large number of people but we will try to work out a date to get the most # of people out.
We just need everyone who's signed up to touch base in this thread to let us know if the date works out or if they have any suggestions.

I think given the response to this thread those low turn out meets are going to something of the past.
It seems everyone has always wanted to do a proper TL meet but it just hasn't happened until now.

yea, that was my suggestion to do a track meet day, ive done a few in the past, they are a lot of fun. if you guys are interested in road circuits i know a group that hosts a track meet 2wice a month at different tracks. Fun to see what you and your car can do. Costs about 100-120 bux a day.

Would like to push the TL as from those who have tracked it said that it didn't do too badly for being a sedan.
Not to mention to see how the mods hold up for their intended purpose.
