19inch tires question

Hi Guys,

A buddy of mine is trying to sell me some used rims and tires.. The size is 245/40/19 and I'm not sure if this tire size would work for the TL? Leaning toward the experts here who would know.. They are VOLK rims so the look really nice but he doesnt have the TPS sensors as well..

Just not sure if its worth it.. Let me know what you guys think around the size and the no TPS sensors and if I will get into any issues if I purchase.

Thanks in advance

245/40/R19 is the correct tire size if you have or want late model TL w Hi Performance tire package.
But check the Wheel Lug placements of the Volks.
See Tire Rack for more info.
TPS is very specific and need to be matched to your car.
But once you have correct TPS most tire service companies can install.
Note - The dealer cost of the TPS system is very pricey.

tire will be too "tall" and it will cause the speedo to be off a little. I think that tire size should be 245/35/19 (depends on the width of the wheels off course). You can also use this: http://1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp and you can figure it out yourself
