The way i see it is men G'ing females for sex is no different than females going on dates with guys just for the free dinner, or dating a guy because he has money and/or status.

And most of those females calling men dogs are the same females who will accept free drinks from a man at the club or accept the perks of dating someone in a position of power. Just because what you're after is different doesn't mean you're playing the game any less foul.

At the end of the day, people are self-serving.

girls are just as bad as guys. trust me, i have friends who tell me all their business. and how they get horny and stuff and how they like to f***. they jsut want to seem innocent and all that./ though there are some girls who are discreet and innocent. girls want the same things guys do at the end of the day, they just wont admit it.

and there are TONS of gold diggers and girl who are interested in material things and such. girls just dont want to seem that way. they are supposed to be "lady like" and those that say men are dogs are the ones that have been done wrong or who gave it up too easy and were left by the guy.

That's correct. The vast majority of women will not be up front with you about their true desires, especially if they are attracted to you and/or desire your approval. There are ways to break through that, but it takes patience and the ability to foster an open and non-judgmental relationship. Those who idealize women and pedestalize them will rarely see women for who they really are.

It's in most women's best interest to adapt to a man's desires if she wants something out of him. And, most men are more than willing to accept those chameleon-like adaptations because of their idealization. This can have dire consequences down the road if the man finds out only later that his girl was not who he thought she was.

It's important for men to be able to determine early on what a girl is really like to not fall victim to his own delusions and her potentially disastrous agenda.

I always thought guys and girls are much more alike that most people will care to admit. I spent enough years in NY and NJ dating women that are confident and knew what they wanted and were not afraid to go get theirs. I can't say that I fault them for that. Personally I find that most of the ones that I met were at least honest about what they wanted.

I never once judged them for what they enjoyed. To me if a girl is a "gold digger" and some guy is willing to pay for her fun, then good for her. If a guy was a dog and slept around, then so be it. I was in no position to judge.

 

Thats such a bullshit stereotype. They act like men are so horrible for having one night stands and only care about looks. Well guess whos right there along with them? WOMEN!!

If we stick to generalities, one side of the coin is that men can be pigs. The flip side is that women can be manipulative. Important point - "can be", not "are".

On why I think men can be pigs: Women are able to establish meaningful connections, friendships, fall in love, etc. much easier and earlier than men as they are growing up. I think by the time a women meets "the one" she's already felt a deep connection to someone by that time (i.e. has an idea of what love is). Men not so much. Men will tell a women they love her from the same place they'd say they love pizza or football. Problem is that men don't realize there is a difference until they really are in love. Women understand that difference long before that IMO. So you have this disconnect going on that each person may be saying the same thing to eachother, but they mean it on different levels. So yes, from a women's perspective, men can often act like pigs.

But as other posters have covered, women are far from blameless....

 

Alike in our goals or desires? Maybe. But we're fundamentally different in the ways we pursue those goals and desires.

The biological and evolutionary context can't be underestimated. The fact that social contrivances exist to influence men is testament to that.

Accepting that women are "gold diggers" simply because a man feels he has to pay is no less inequitable as a woman with no self-esteem spreading her legs at the first sign of interest from a man with value.

I don't think we are all different in how we pursue said goals and desires. I don't disagree that there are women that put out to get their man, or a man that pays for stuff to get a girl. But not all women are like that and neither are all men.

I'm for the most part old fassion. The way I was brought up. So, I tend to be the one buying if I was out with a girl. Never bothered me. I was not looking for "favors" in return. It was just the way I was taught. I met some girls that were the gold digging type, but never stuck around with them long.

I also met some that had low/no self esteem and used sex as a method to entice and keep a man. And hell yes, I dated them too. I'm old fassion, not a saint.

But the ones I felt that were equals were the ones that didn't hang out with you for free drinks or food, and when they spread their legs, it was because they wanted too more for them than me. Those were the girls I respected and wanted to be with. I looked at them as equals in every way.

 

To the OP:

Simply because men are dogs. Have you ever had a dog? Or had a chance to take care of one for an extended period of time?

Next time you get a chance to play with a dog, take toy 1 and toy 2. Hold up toy 1 and make it attractive to the dog, and watch the dog chase after it. Then pull out toy 2, and watch the dog drop toy 1 and go after toy 2. And on occassion a certain type of dog will try to put both toy 1 and 2 in its mouth.

Now, take that paragraph right above and replace the word "dog" with "man." And then replace all of the words "toys" with "woman." Ironically, it fits all too well doesn't it?

All men are like that. I don't care if they're married, in a serious relationship, or are single; they might not literally chase after someone else, but if a pretty girl is walking down the street 99% of men will definitely take note of it.

And to the ladies, I can't explain it, and I'm not going to deny it. Men like pretty women. Is it wrong? Yes it is. Can we fix it? Honestly, I don't think so.

A couple of things though: equating how men try to "g" for sex, like women try to get free drinks up in a club isn't exactly the best analogy possible. If anything it makes it sound like your equating sex to free drinks.

And wtf is "G-ing?" God. I must be getting old. My little cousin told me last week that he's a "Real G" after I ragged on him about how he needs to take school seriously and pull his D- in algebra up to atleast a B.

Thats about when I back handed him across the cheek and made him cry to his mommy.

Theoretically, we all howl and bay at the moon...men and women alike. Society gives out these tags and declarations of conformity. Get in where you fit in.

I don't judge women en masse, and I will likewise not be judged. It's about how they were brought up why they say what they say. Not just at home, but in school, the media and within their personal circles. What they are fed or led to believe, and choose to believe in. There is no such thing as ALL women think or act a certain way, and no such thing as ALL men doing the same.

I like sex, so I will have it as often as I choose with whomever I choose. If a woman does that as well, so be it. I just won't choose her. And they don't have to choose me. Simple matter of choice or preference.

Bottomline...who gives a fuck? They are the product of their environment...probably, but it really doesn't matter...I'm the master of mine...

Agree, for the most part. I think they may mind. In most cases, I think they know guys will look (and we guys know that women will look as well), but they just don't want to see it.

My wife always tell me it's OK to look, just don't think about ordering anything from the menu.

 

Yeah, I have had women tell me that they don't mind all the time. I just don't want to disrespect them by staring at someone else when I should be giving them my attention. The best case scenario is to go out with someone bi...best of both worlds!

 

I think looking is natural - I've said often that just because you have a wife/gf does not automatically make every other woman unattractive. . IMO, you'd better pick your moments (like you mention here Dark). To gawk in front of your wife/gf is just asking for trouble, and is disrespectful.
