Can someone please explain to me why I seem to attract married chicks?

Why do married chicks hit on single guys?

It's a vicious, never ending cycle I tell you!

Total tally of currently married, freakishly interested in me girls: 4

Total tally of single girls remotely interested in me: 0

WTF?

PS: Maybe i should wear a wedding band to attract the single girls?

 

Cause they have husbands like me who are out with other women?


I have no clue. I NEVER hit on other women, married or single. I don't think my wife hits on other guys, but she is a wicked flirt when she gets a few drinks in her.

 

Because you're 29 and their husbands are 49.

 

They are all mid to late twenties.

It happens to us married guys too. How's this for a strange double-standard: I was in a night club during a bachelor party recenlty and a girl pulled my hand out of my pocket to check for a ring. She looked up at me and said something like, "too bad..." Ironically, I found out later that SHE was married but looking for a hook up.

 

Crazy. I honestly don't know how to handle these situations properly. There is this chick I work with that asks me to go out and do shit with her on a daily basis. Sometimes it's cool but other times it sort of freaks me out a bit. She's already asked me today, 10mins ago!

 

Just bang 'em. Obviously, not your co-worker. However, if you know you'll never see them again, then that's the husbands problem.

 

lol. I actually know 3 of the 4 husbands, and yeah, I know the husband of the chick I work with too. I'm not "friends" with any of them, I just know them.

 

 

My take is that they're a little buzzed and feeling their oats a bit...but if you pursue it seriously they'll most likely bail on you before anything really happens. They just feel like flirting with some handsome, younger dude and might even make out with you but they won't "close the deal". At least most won't. We married folks have too much to lose, nothing to gain from an affair / one-nighter. And no matter how much booze I've had in me, I haven't slept with another woman in my married lifetime. Flirting, and booze-fueled make out sessions aside that is.

 

Let me clear up the fact that I have been older than all 4 of these girls.

 

Lord, you're not alone. I get my fair share of single girls that hit on me, but I would say the bulk of the ladies that actually come up and are blatant with me have a hubby. I'm guessing most of them aren't happy with their marriages but nevertheless it is weird. I would never actually do anything with them though, I dont agree with pissing in another mans yard if you know what I mean

Yeah I agree. There's a guy and girl at my office, both around 30 and married and they always hang out and talk together. I doubt they mess around, but they probably need reassurance that they still "got it" since it's probably pretty boring at home.

Exactly... all the married guys my age (mid 30s) that I hang around with are always looking for that too. At that same bachelor party I mentioned earlier, most of the guys were flirting like crazy and hoping to bring girls back to the hotel. Yet, I don't think any of them would have closed the deal... they just wanted to know that they could.

 

...I can top this...

1) I get hit on by married women too except they're usually older and NOT attractive

2) ...hit on by the... really young ones (see my post on the... "How young's too young?" thread...

3) and... I, occasionally, get hit on by gays...

...Ohhhhh, but never by anyone around the mid 20's to early 30's women...

same here. I used to work at a movie theater and a couple times when I handed the change back, the gay guy would touch my hand and say somehting like "thanks hun"

 

I agree with the poster who said that the married women who do this are only doing this as an ego boost. They want to know if they still have it or not so they'll push our buttons. There's this one married girl here at work that I know of who is notorious for flirting with the guys, whether they're single or not, and she's smokin', too! Just because a girl flirts with you doesn't mean she'd like to jump into bed with you either. They do it for ego boosting purposes and those are the ones I hate.

 

I thought about this too. It's hard to say though when you're talking about a guy here (me), that doesn't even know if HE would "jump into bed" either. I just don't know that I could do something like that. That's some guys wife! Even if I didn't know him... Still, pretty fucked up if I do say so.

me and a coworker went out for drinks one night...

the guys at the table next to us.. i blatantly saw them take off their wedding rings and shove them in their pockets.

they come over, try to strike up conversation, tries to pick her up (im trying to ignore them as I do most of the human population)

coworker points out the fact we saw them take off their rings. they proceed to get mad and call us names and walk off.

I ordered another drink.

Men and women do stupid stuff to make them feel good about themselve.s. As someone has mentioned before -- they do it to see if they still got 'the touch'. Others ... poon-tang. I hope for the most part, the married individuals you speak of are aiming for the former.

 

not stand up for the girls but guys do it also. my g/f gets hit on all the time by single dudes. she about knocked out a dude like a night or 2 ago. she went to the movies without me (because i work 2nd shift) she went with a couple friends and some dude smacked her booty. she I smacked the shit out of him i guess and said I got a b/f who would knock the shit out of you if he was here. she gets hit on or asked out like once to two times a week she says. so glad i got her when i did.

 

also i forgot to tell you what she saw: she wanted to Fast and Furious 3(she's into Import tuning cars like me)she has an 2004 Lancer(not an Evo but i think i got her conviced once the Evo 10 drops that we're gonna get a Evo 10) she street races it once in awhile. but she went and saw Nacho Libre because her friends said "car movies are lame" whatever.

 

any woman who can hold a decent conversation with you and seem into it is worth it.

 

id say street racing is extremely stupid but I suppose the worst thing you could do out there is hit a cow.

 

Maybe their husbands aren't showing enough interest in them anymore so they have to find action else where.

 

I'd freak out if that happened to me too. Why is it always the flamers that are the agressive ones? Maybe cause they don't get any? My most extreme hitting on consists of telling a guy he's got nice muscles.


But back to the thread topic, chicks do that because they, in general, are only looking out for themselves (not that guys don't either, but I don't think we're quite as bad for the exact way that girls are). Girls (not all) tend to do this thing where they want "backup boy" if their current relationship shows signs of failing. I think that kind of behaviour is disgusting.

It's really because they're all superhoes deep down inside.

 

That seems to reflect my experiences as well.
