I just recently broke up with my gf of almost 4 years. When I am just pissed off about it I am fine, but when I think about the good times it just makes me want to break a glass bottle on my face to make me forget the pain. Anyone know of a remedy that doesn't involve copius amounts of alcohol or hookers (or glass bottles broken on my face)?

Me and mine are kinda taking a break. It sucks, i think of her all the time. Lucky for me i got another chick on the side, so at least i'm not missing any ass.

 

I guess that normally that would do the trick but it wasnt a month ago that we were talking about marriage. Titty bars are my typical answer to most ailments.

I'm with you all as well....the only way to get over her is time and try not to interact with her as much as possible. Can't get over her if you're in constant contact....some don't have a choice....that must be tough....my X was continuing to call me 2 to 3 times a day...I had to put a stop to that which sux because I want to talk to her but I'll never get over her if I continue down that path.

my ex and I have all the same friends...I figure its not going to take all that long for her to start dating one of them. I am supposed to be going to a cookout this weekend which she is going to be at. I really want to go and have some fun and drink some beers with my friends and eat some burgers...but I also will have a bit of a hard time with seeing her...and if I were to see her get drunk and hook up with a guy there I think things would get really messy, and violent.

so...I guess its either learn to deal with it, or become a hermit.

I read on of your threads about you and your woman, and our situations seem pretty similar. I can especially relate to changes in your feelings for one another. One difference is that I dont have another chick on the side...or a 15 inch flip down monitor...or 19 inch c2's...or nsx blue paint...wow...I have a lot to work on.

Hey wazz up. Well just a week ago my boyfriend dumped me, but then started to call me again. But I decided that the best was not to talk to him again. At first it was kool 'cause I would remember all the bad things he did to me. But as days when by I started missing him a lot that I wanted 2 call him. But what I did was started to keep my self bussy, like I'm working out, going out w/ my friends and I'm working more hours. To tell you that helps a lot. By the way, its all about time, but its also up to u! Like I said keep ur self busy, and meet new people, TRUST me it helps!

also-you mentioned sharing the same circle of freinds, so be careful what you say to people about her..you will forgive and forget a lot quicker than your freinds will.

I had the same problem, me and my ex have all the same friends, and its very hard to hang out with ur friends after that cause everytime, they gotta pick which one to hang out with.... sucks that they always go with the girl just cause shes a girl and need more help....

and to not hijack the thread... i broke up with my ex in feb. but it was a clean breakup, no drama, no issues. i guess we just weren't meant to be...

but if i broke up with a gf of 4 years... i guess i would be pretty damn bummed, esp if i thought that i would have a future with her and all that. hope u find a decent, wholesome girl to get your mind off of your ex dude.
