It doesnt matter, either. Sure as a female, you want something that you love. But it is may more then what the ring looks like, its more a less a symbol of something a little bigger then a price tag.

As for the most expensive gift for the significant other, it's a trip to Singapore + spending money to buy lots of clothes and other stuff. Second would be the U2 tickets I bought for this October in Detroit. (Why did I pay so much?! )

umm i think about $2500 for a watch, did that twice(same girl)
and she went out and bought me a $30K watch, and my second NSX.
I bought her some nice stuff with her money too-although she said "can you find me Blah Blah Bl
ah, heres the money" so i guess that doesnt count

SOmebody I know from college gave his girlfriend money for a car. She ended up getting a Chrysler Sebring convertible.
Well they broke up, and he wanted the car. Too bad for him it was in her name. He gave her the cash and she bought the car. Word of advice; if you buy a girl a car make sure its in YOUR name.

The occasion was a few months of doubt followed by the my realizing that she was the most perfect woman on the face of the Earth. We'd been together 2 1/2 years and she just graduated from college, and me, well, I'm just a lucky, lucky man.
