Whatever happened to bros before hoes?
I recently found out that my once "good" friend went behind my back. Here's the story:
Me and my friend have been working together for the last couple of years at a golf course in the clubhouse restaurant. This past spring, a new cute girl starts working and of course we both have our eyes on her. He recently broke up with his girlfriend over the winter and still can't over her, so he tells me I can go for it. I end up talking to this girl right away, and we've been together ever since. Needless to say, we are very happy and everything is going great.
So me and my girlfriend go out one night to DQ one night and we start talking about when we first started talking. She then go on to say "oh ya, one night Matt picked me up after school and he took me for ice cream here" She then told me that he told her to never tell me about it because it would make me very angry and just cause problems. He ends up calling her after saying they should do it again, blah blah blah.
I am not angry at the fact that my girlfriend went out with him, because we were just talking at the time. And I'm not angry that he took her out. What pisses me off is that he did this all behind my back without telling me.
I should also add that when he starting seeing his ex in high school, he completely shoved me and my other friend in the gutter, and barely talked to us. Then he breaks up with her and guess who he comes crawling back to. We took him back but I think this is the final straw.
Am I overreacting? Or should I put this chump in his place?

Massr1 - It happens. Deal with. It's just ice cream. It's not like the foot ball team lined up for a gang bang.
I really don't see that he did something that wrong. And your gf was honest enough to tell you.

^^^^ dont listen to him... he's got your girl mixed up with his BF.
leave the drama in the past... everyone has shady friends who did this shit when they were your age.
shes with you, thats all that matters. Now if she breaks up with you and ends up with him thats a different story to be discussed later.

Meh, at 19 don't even worry about it. Chances are you will be with someone else in 6 months anyway. Enjoy your youth!

I have tons of friends like that...They get girlfriends, and they forget my name and phone number. Months later, they are calling me asking to hang out (after they aren't with there gf anymore) I honestly lose alot of respect for anyone who does this, and usually stop being friends with them. Happened a crapload in high school, not so much right now, cause most of my friends are single now.

but i wouldn't sweat it. if it upsets you that much, just tell your friend that you know. as long as he's not calling your girl now and trying to get ice cream with her.
and as for your friend that disappears when he has his own gf, it's just a part of life, i think.
my friends and i all have girlfriends or fiancee's, and i've noticed it's more and more rare these days that we all hang out. especially with s.o.'s, work, school, etc. but it doesn't bother me, really.
