Ok that's fine, you are allowed to disagree.

Try attaching the ring to your nipple.
That way you dont lose it so easily.

Hey Kateala, did you find it yet? If not, make sure you pray to St. Anthony. Heard it on the radio this morning that you need to pray to him and you'll find your ring. Good Luck!!

Sorry, Im with the minority here. It is just a ring; a material object with attached sentimental value. Its sad to lose such things, but to be totally devasted, and in your time of need???? I think thats a tad melodramatic for a lost ring.

The last few weeks have been real rough at work, with alot of sick patients. Not all of them have pulled through, and we've had some bad news for a few families. A lost love one, now thats total devastation.

I think Lilrish sees your posts as cries for attention/ego stroking from the local horndogs, and its getting to him, especially in a post like this thats a little over the top.

Do you think it is possible that she was REALLY upset about losing the ring? To her it stands for something. Maybe it is hard for people to understand, but it doesn't mean she posted because she wanted attention. I guess I'll have to go through the posts from people posting how upset they are cause their precious car was vandalized, or some ass hit it, or some bullshit like that. Hell, the car doesn't even symbolize something like the ring does. This site is becoming more and more like Off-topic.com. If it gets to that point, just cancel my membership here.

Dude relax.

Like I said, losing such things is upsetting, but devastating??, or to be so traumatic to place you in desperate time of need? You dont think thats a tad melodramatic? Not a wedding or engagement band, but a X-mas gift? To me it is, especially with what I've seen lately.

Also I never said that that was necessarily the case, I just said that it sometimes seems that way from some of the more melodramatic and flirtacious posts/actions.

My point is that people come here and post such frivolous bullshit everyday. Things like "some kids egged my car, so i am going to go get a bat and beat them" and you get 5 pages of posts saying "I would do the same thing." I see stuff like that all the time. To me, as annoying as that is and as upset as I might get, I don't think there is any sentimental value involved with a car. A ring that does symbolize something however, does have sentimental value, yet some people bash katie for being upset about losing the ring. I do agree with you that it is nothing compared to losing a loved one, that is something that is very tough. My mother's uncle died yesterday as a matter of fact and it is indeed quite upsetting. I just see way to much of the off-topic.com attitude here more now since the "changes" have occured. She was upset at losing her ring, she posted, and thats it. Same as people finding egg on their car, posting, and thats it. Doesn't mean that the guys are looking to hook up with someone on the site. That is just a rediculous statement to make IMHO.

I realized tonight when I was out at dinner with my BF that I didn't have on my ring. He bought me this gorgeous white gold/diamond ring for Christmas, and literally, I have had it on EVERY DAY since Xmas...I take it off RARELY if I am putting on lotion (most of the time I keep it on though). I am so used to having it on that I guess I didn't notice it wasn't on? Does that make sense?!

So I told him that I didn't know why I wasn't wearing it. I don't remember taking it off. I got so upset that I left his house to come home and find it. I told myself I would feel a LOT better just knowing where it was - I figured it was on my dresser, that I took it off when I got out of the shower when I put lotion on..........

WELL, it's not on my dressesr. It's not on the floor. It's not in my bathroom, by my computer, on the floor of my car, in my laundry basket, in my downstairs bathroom, by my downstairs computer, in my basement...NO WHERE! I was just hysterically crying to my BF on the phone, who is telling me it's not a big deal, not to get myself worked up, it will just show up when I least expect it to.

Well, I can't relax.
I'm heart-broken. I've never actually LOST anything before. Not even my keys!!! I am so anal about knowing where everything is. I still have EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF JEWERLY every X has ever given to me. (I don't wear any of it, but I do have it all in my jewerly box). The one piece of jewerly that meant the world to me, I lost. My BF has also given me 2 necklaces - one last Valentine's Day that I wore every single day until this Valentine's Day that just passed - now I wear the new diamond initial "K" necklace he got me instead...He's not BIG into the whole jewerly thing, so when I get it, I'm obsessed with it, you know?

So yea, that's my deal. I'm sorry, I had to vent. I'm just sooooo sad right now AND, I feel like I'm gunna throw up
LOL She said Anal!
