Yet another "how/where to meet girls?" thread....

I"ve spent the last 3 years working my fucking ass off to get my career going. At this point I feel comfortable financially, have my own place (small but not too bad) and I feel I should get into the dating game a bit.

Most people meet people through friends. Not trying to be a whiny bitch, but my problem is that most of the guys I grew up with are either engaged/married or have since moved out of town. My only HS friends left are lazy, unmotivated & really can't help me much. Anyway, I need to get out and meet some people but I'm a bit rusty as I haven't done this for a long time. Everyone says go to bars & clubs, but I don't see this working too well for me. I'm not a great looking guy and I feel awkward going to a place like this on my own.

What advice can you guys/gals offer me?

have you tried the online dating sites? i never done it or i will but it worked out for alot of people...

 

I'm not sure if your religious, but they have singles groups at church based on age. I have never done it but a few of my co-works have had many successful dates & relationships. You can check the net and see if they have a singles group that meets in your area and participates in group activities.
