So I dont have plans for thanksgiving and my ex and her family invites me up there for T-Day. I dont know how awkward it would be given the fact that she has a boyfriend (who btw, wont be there the whole weekend if I decide to come.) We broke up in August because of the distance and she still comes back and tells me how she cares still and we both know had it not been for distance it prob would be different. I kinda want to go just for the fireworks, but I'm a lil skeptical. It doesnt help that the tix cost a nice chunk of change.

Basically if I dont do this, sounds like its back to TX for me . My sister bailed out on me and decided to go with her bf for the holiday, so it kinda left me out of any plans with anyone.

I agree with Darksom, get a "friend" to hang out with not just for holidays, but also for anyday. If you're not ready for another relationship, a "friend" would be perfect (no committment, but someone to spend time with), until she or you develop feelings, which might be okay too if you both end up wanting a relationship...JMO

 

All the "friends" I meet tend to want to rush into a relationship, while I dont (especially with the travel demands that I have right now with my job)

I laughed today when she mentioned that I was thinking about coming for dinner to her bf. She claimed he was ok with it just for dinner, but the moment she told him I would be staying with her overnight if I came, he hit the roof.
