PMS sucks...
PMS sucks...
so is PMS an excuse to be a total bitch? the girl im dating gets SUPER pissed off at me and is all crying and upset because i didnt call or text msg her to see if her day was going well. i called her after work, and she was already pissed that i didnt find out how she was doing because "i should've known that she was gonna have a bad day with her period and all". WTF? i'm so pissed because stupid fights like this happen SO OFTEN and then the next day she acts as though nothing happened...or she blames it on her PMS.

It really sucks feeling like youre going to start
for no reason at all.he does it back though. if he gets bitchy and acts like an asshole he tells me hes PMS'ing and thats a valid excuse because women use it.

If she's anything like my girl she'll apologize for her insane behavior after it's over and say that I was right about most of the fights that took place. Then she'll go back to being an excuse-less megabitch for the next three weeks, starting the whole cycle all over again.

no shit...it's bad enough that they don't know how to drive. next thing you know, they'll want to vote.
The best thing to do is just go "Oh..let me give you a back rub..." then bend her over and throw it in the poop hole. She'll forget whatever the hell she was bitching at you about. Trust me, I have many failed relationships under my belt.
The strange thing about PMS is....if you ever, EVER ask your girl if she's PMS-ing (or accuse her of the same), she will tear you a new pooper but quickly.
You've got to let her bring it up first....and then maybe.
My wife's pretty good about it. She at least recognizes the fact (some women claim it doesn't exist, and IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!!!!!!!!), but it can still be frustrating. Some women aren't greatly affected by it, others turn into raging beasts. The strange thing is, being on hormonal forms of birth control can either make things better or worse....again, depending on the woman. YMMV.
As for "getting used to it", it's not a matter of the girls getting used to the bleeding (which by definition PMS has none), it's a matter of a rapid drop in hormone levels, which causes the moodiness, irritability and emotional outbursts. Ah, the wonders of biology.

arent you ultimately still in control of you emotions though? when i get pissed off, i control myself so that i dont go on a shooting spree at the mall. can't they do the same? is it that hard to shut the hell up and stay away from everybody for a couple of days?

Men have hormonal cycles, too, but ours fluctuate daily, not monthly. So the reason we can get mad and get past it quickly is because we only "PMS" for about 10 minutes/day.

I think that when someone is PMSing they should be given SLIGHT consideration but its not a license to stop showing respect to others. Your hormones may be all wacked, but in my experience you still have enough control over yourself to keep other people's feelings in mind. Keep a chart of when she is about to have her period and steer clear if you dont want to deal with it.

edit: i mean hell theyre still not sure taking hormone replacement therapy for post-menopausal women is safe or not.
but then youre probably not staying with this girl for the rest of your life so you probably dont care about the long term effects.
