I knew her when we were young... Her cousin was my best friend and we spent summers chillen... Her cousin died in a crash at 15 ( i was 16)... We havent spoken in 6 years... she came up this summer and we went to the hamptons and taht was that.. We are in LOVE and its so easy to foresee my future with her.. we have spent everyday together... slept most night together and its unbelievable.. the saying "you'll know your in love when it happens".. Damn LOVE is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
after 23 years, an easy 8 years of dating and a whole mess of headaches... I FOUND MY ONE...

Nora (the one) is just unbelievable... she is not materialistic, 100% supportive of everything and has made me her #1... All her decisions are based oin my feellings and vice-versa... hell she moved from PA to NY to be closer to me!!! Not everything needs to have a bad ending.. and NOT everything needs to END.. my grandparents are close to 70 years married... Death is another ballgame... If you are 23, then do not even think of marriage yet!!! (been there, done that)
Unless she makes substantially more than you. Otherwise you are owned for life my friend.
If you are ready to have kids, then get married (and just note that she can quit her job at any time and stay home full time, so make sure this is what you want if it happens). Until then just live together. If she is really the one, then she will have no problems waiting for a few years. Just be open and discuss everything with her.
People really change alot between their 20's and 30's. As for your grandparents, they are from a different time where 'forever' meant 'forever' whether you are happy or not.

I hear you fast.. but I disagree too.. I am very old school and think that early 20s are ideal for marriage.. I figure we will be married by 25... I dont believe in age being a factor... and I also sont believe that people change who they truly are... I think taht people only adjust themselves to what makes them satisfied at the time... I am certain that this is what I want.. and as far as "kids"... if it happened tomorrow, accident or not, I would be thrilled.. he/she would be a blessing... I have a great out look on marriage, kids, etc in life.. I fond joy in these things where as many men shy away from it in fear of losing themselves... I already know that it would be a strength for me...

and for the record.. I have felt like this (above stated about life) prior to my gf.. It has always been my outlook.. NOW I just have someone who shares these beliefs and that I love!!!
