Oh, for Pete's sake, even when she's leaving, she has to make me suffer...
So I met this girl while I was in Chicago this past summer, and I really liked her. So I've gone back to hung out with her (East Lansing, MI, about a 4-hour drive each way) and whatnot.
Then one day, she told me about her boyfriend. I was crushed, but whatever. I guess I didn't move fast enough. But she was happy, so I was happy for her. It just sucked that I couldn't be the one with her, but whatever.
Well, I was talking to her tonight, and I've known for a while that she was going to move to California for graduate school. Well, she decided last week to move this coming Friday. And just like that, she told me to skip classes and come down to visit her one last time, at least for a while.
I told her that I got this event in Iowa in May, and if she is still in California by then, I would drive out there to see her. But she just kept making me feel bad about how I wouldn't come down to see a friend leave and whatnot. She said she was joking, but I felt bad.
First off, my brother has my car, and my brother's car is going in the shop, most likely tomorrow or the following day because he crashed it. I wouldn't drive it 4 hours each way on the highway. And to pick up my car, I would have to drive an hour and a half each way the exact opposite way of Chicago.
Well, she said she was just joking. Then as she was going to bed, she said once again to come down tomorrow.
Ah, what the fuck!!!! I don't know what to do. On one hand, I would love to see her and hang out with her, but I would have to skip classes, probably go get my car (complicated situation in itself and I'm not talking about the drive), then spend 8 hours on the road to and from Chicago.
Is it worth it? I don't know. She's so unpredictable, though, and she might end up doing her studies in Japan or some shit by May when I'll be in Iowa. So this might just be the last time to see her for a long time.
Son of a bitch.

I'm fucking sick of doing shit and going out of my way for girls who never show interest in me and just wanna be friends...
but I still do it anyway.

Eh, I don't know. I guess I'll decide after my econ class in the morning.
The thing is, I know it's not gonna go anywhere. We'll probably go to a bar or something, have a few, talk, then say good bye, and I'll drive 6 hours home, then switch cars and drive another hour and a half back to school.
Still yet, I want to see her so bad.

I wouldn't drive 6 hrs+ for a 'friend', but thats just me. Now if this 'friendship' is going somewhere, then maybe its worth the investment in time.

She has a boyfriend so obviously, you can only be friends. In the end, it's up to you if you think a few hours of hanging out with her is worth your time and effort (and missed classes).

Does this girl work for Samsonite? She seems to have a lot of baggage and you don't mind carrying all of it. If it were a guy friend you knew the way you know her, would you do it? HELL NO. Just let it go, say good bye and sleep with her best friend
