here's was my situation: it was about 3 year ago. My ex (we were engaged) she was extremely controlling. So finally we broke up.it's been about 2 years ago. i went to my ex brother's wedding. of course my ex is gonna be there. Well I took what now is my wife with me. we had only been going out 8-9 months. I'm still friends with everyone in the family but my ex. I hadn't talked with my ex's aunt since we broke up. so she asked me how life was. how everything was going. she said "I was looking good."(she's married and has 2 boys) she pulled me to the side and said "look if you're not happy with your current g/f I know someone who you would be." I think she meant my ex.
I said "okay" but even if I was unhappy I don't know if I could go back to her because she was SUPER CONTROLLING. now i think she realizes she messed up. I bought everything for her from I took her on a cruise, she had a nice ring, I bought her DVDs all the time, I took her out to eat all the time and paid, took her to movies or to clubs. I asked some mutial friends that is both hers and mine if she's date anyone since me they said "no."so she's like 24 and lives with her momma. If she wants to do that that's fine but she missed a chance with me. she could have had a sweet life.

 

Plus my ex is pissed because I got this hot ass chick I'm now married to and she's single.
For example Sherri(my ex) was trying to make Amy(my wife now) pissed:
when we were at her brother's wedding she came up to me(she's DRUNK AS HELL)and said:
"Derek, lets dance."(she spilled some mix drink all over me)
I said "Look Sherri, I would perfer not to. plus I think you need to go home and go to bed."
she said "no I'm fine, come on let's dance."

I'm holding her hand not only because I love her but also because I know if I didn't she'll punch her.
I look over at amy and whisper to her while Sherri went to the restroom."Look maybe she wants me back. but I'm not gonna dance with her. she's already acting like an idiot by being drunk as hell. don't say anything. "
Amy said "look if she comes back here she gonna hear it."
well because I'm a volunteer firefighter I carry my pager with me EVERYWHERE(it can be a lifesaver) I got on my cell phone called the dispatcher. told them I'm a officer(which i am). I said you guys gotta drop tones(meaning make my pager go off) for a work detail. a work detail anything from training session to basically drinking beer. well Sherri comes back from the bathroom. my pager drops tones i said "well sorry duty calls." Amy gets in the car. we go to station I had a couple sodas and chilled out for a while . but that situation was about ready to turn into a Jerry Springer show.

anyway, yet another reason why when you "break up" or "get a divorce" you don't ever talk or see them again.
