Loving Someone/Being Loved
Someone asked me this question few days ago:
If you had to choose one, would you rather love someone or be loved? I know they go together but if you had to pick only one, which would it be?
Please try to exaplain your answer.

I feel more appreciated when somebody loves me, even if they're ugly and I wouldn't want to touch them with a 10 ft. pole.
Be loved. I could say in almost all relationships, there is never an equal love. One always love a bit more than the other and being loved more than loving sometimes is a good thing. Being loved makes me feel I am not alone in this world and someone who acutally love me, while giving love is a wonder "does he/she loves me back too?"

I'd rather be loved, having been on the other side of the table it would be a nice change. I do agree that if I didn't have some sort of feelings for her, then it would be really awkward- thinking about it now I must have made her feel really bad an awful lot
oh well, at least I have no regrets!

I would rather love someone... but of course, it would be better if you are loved in return.

there's nothing more uncomfortable than being truly loved and not returning it back to the person. a very guilty feeling.

I think the best act one can do is to truly love somebody. Wanting to "be loved" speaks (to me at least) of emotional neediness and is very selfish. 'Tis much better to give than to receive.
My hangup is I have no problem finding women who love me. Its wanting to love them back.....takes a special lady for that.
The saying is so true...if you don't love yourself you can never love another.

Story of my last relationship. It was awful. I would much rather love somebody else and have them not reciprocate and just move on.

totally and completely, I fell in love with someone and gave him everything I had and then he turns around and breaks my heart into a million different pieces and behaves like my love means nothing to him
