There are a couple of points here that need addressing.

1. You are young. This will not be the only person you date or fall in love with. There are a myriad of women (and men) out there. There is no "one true love".

2. All relationships are work. Period. This would force you to make the decision if you want to put in that kind of work. The work that would be required to fix this problem could possibly end up for naught because it might happen again. Are you prepared to invest more time and effort into a hopeless cause?

3. They dated before, there will always be history there. You are always going to have those issues when you date ex's of your friends. I don't recommend it. This causes some of the same problems you see in some of the 3-some and swinger relationship issues. Competition and history. Bad combo.

4. Don't marry too young and but don't shut yourself out either. Marriage is great, but it's work, just like anything else. It's better to have love and lost than never to have loved at all. I know a lot of cliches in this point, but it's basically true. You always learn from every relationship. The trick is to know what to apply to the next one.



That's about all the advice I have on the surface. You need to ask yourself some hard questions and also face the music on some solid points. Since I'm not you and I don't know everything about the situation, I can't make the decision for you. On the surface though, I'd drop her and move on. It's going to be tough, but it's just something you have to do and you will get over it.

At the age of 17, fearing that there will never be another girl in your life is, well, just a bit naieve. She sounds like she tumbled for this guy, unplanned, but speaking to where her heart is. She hasn't exactly treated you nicely about the whole thing, and you can either storm out in a huff and tell her to go to hell, or you can leave like a gentleman with your dignity intact, which is rather more than what she has at the moment. As for bkmc24. You are only 17, as you grow older, you will learn more about women. Women at your age (16,17) isn't quite ready for commitment. Kissing is a form of cheating, and if she really loves you, I highly doubt she would allow anyone to kiss her...needless to say initiated the kissing. She's still young, even though she may say "I love you", I'm sure she's still exploring her options. At your age, you should be a player, instead of a lover. You're too young for it.

hahah well thanks for the advice but i went to her house today and we talked apparently the dude kissed her and she didnt kiss him back and nothing else happened. I'm being a nice guy and am giving her another chance. Everyone has his own limits. If you can still trust her despite what happened and you are still willing to give her a second chance, than I commend you for being so forgiving and courageous. If not, it would be understandable if you want to end the relationship. In the end, only you can tell if you love the girl enough to stretch your patience and understanding.
