Did I do the "right" thing?

Last night before coming to work, I stopped in my usual watering hole to throw some darts and shoot some pool with my buddies. While I was in the middle of my dart game one of my friends runs over and says, "you are never gonna believe this, but Juls just walked in." (sidenote - Juls would happen to be my last ex-gf. She is also the only girl I have ever gone out with that has ever cheated on me. And she was shady bish about it when she was at college too, which to this day burns my ass bc i did so much for her) ANYWAYS, She comes walking into the place with another female friend (god forbid it was the new man) where she KNOWS is my regular bar, she lives flutting 45 minutes away!! the balls on her.
So I look at her, she looks at me and keeps walking, at this point my dart match goes to absolute shit because i am slowly becoming unwrapped because this is the first time that i have seen her since i found out that she was cheating on me (6 months or so). The anger sharks are circling in my head, my friends are telling me just to go over and scream or to spit in their food etc. I do nothing
I tried my best to be the bigger man, but i could tell by her hand motions and body language that she was talking about me the whole fucking time. Now I am just getting down right angry. So they finish their meals and head out. On there way i stand up and shout "So good to see you, Drive fast, take chances" to which her only reply was the finger (yea, good one, a retarded third grader called, and wants his come-back back).
Not that any of this made me feel any better, but it did for some strange reason. What would you guys have done in my position. Would you have gone for the full beraitment or just play it the exact same way, or did nothing at all????

Sorry man but by getting so wound up and actually saying something she won the battle. Pretty obvious you still have feelings for her. Should have sat there, relaxed, and picked up a chick

Confrontations with ex-girlfriends are very high school. If this girl doesn't even have the decency to greet you properly, she's worth less than shit. You did the right thing by not being confrontational, but you didn't have to throw in the comment at the end. This girl cheated on you. If you realize that this girl is a piece of shit, nothing she does will ever bother you again. Tell yourself, this girl is a piece of shit and not worth my time. I know from personal experience that when any girl I knew turned out to be a cheating ho, I'd be so disgusted by her that I couldn't care what she did.

Just ignore her, or find a new watering hole.

I would have just ignored her completely and have a good time with my buddies...i would be sitting there laughing and enjoying myself and the time with my buddies....that, indirectly, would show her that you are happy...but that last comment was unnecessary...ya u still hate the bish and all, but sometimes, it's better to just keep your mouth closed...

think about this...when you were young, did your parents ever give you the "silence treatment" when you did something wrong...for example, let's say that you scratched your dad's car and he didn't talk to you for like 2-3 days...how did that make you feel? or how would that make you feel that your dad has given you the silence treatment...know what i mean?

^ that never happened to me but i'm just illustrating a point...

but now it's done with and over with...move on and start looking at the bright side of things...go find another friend/girl friend and just know that "there are many fishes in the sea"....eventually, you will catch the right one...

Either ignore her completely, or kill her with kindness - walk up, introduce yourself to her gf, buy her a drink, and suggest to her that she's a real cutie pie. Nothing is worse than being kind to someone that you really detest. Catches them completely off-guard. Would leave her completely flat-footed, give her no opportunity to attack you (well, he seemed like a stand-up guy to me.........) and would definitely throw a pall. Might even lead to a discussion about why the two of you aren't together..................

I would've been sarcastically cordial to her, but that's just me.

i think you are right, it seemed like a good idea at the time, but just ignoring her would have been better. I guess living well is the best revenge, oh well, I am sure its not the last time I will run into her. And as to finding a new watering hole, never, i worked there as a bouncer for 3 years its like home.

^^ That's what I thought... Either take.."take chances" = go try to cheat ..or something..

O.P- I it was me in your position..I would've either ignored her or walked out of the door. She's only doing that to piss you off...because obviously she knew you were gonna be there. Why go out of your way to make any remarks to her or even try to communicate with her?

Its a tough call man. I think you did the right thing to control yourself for most of the night. She's not worth your trouble. Getting angry at her just proves to her that she's still got a hold on you and in the end, she's the winner. If my gf ever cheated on me, she'd be out the door so quickly she wouldn't know what happened. There are no second chances in that department in my mind and I know I can find someone else who wouldn't do that to me.

Well, since it was your home turf and she was trespassing, I can see how you got upset. I would have just ignored her like everyone else said and kept chillin with my friends. I would have actually laughed because that dude she was with is in for a rude awakening. Once a cheater, always a cheater.

I saw an my ex g/f a couple of weeks ago at my old work. I was in a conversation with my ex boss Andy when she walked in and gave him a hug and didn't say a word to me. I just gave her a go fuck yourself look and kept my mouth shut. I thought I saw her this weekend at this club I go to all the time and it pissed me off. I saw a girl who looked almost identical to her from across the room. I guess the lighting and drinks threw me a off a bit, upon closer inspection it wasn't her.
