so saturday night i spent the night at my cousins. (i work in anaheim, and live in corona...freways closed because of the fire)

You guys, and especially Amisconception, are waaaaaay off the reservation here. How can you all sit here and psychoanalyze this girl when you have no idea who she is??? This is almost irritating to me. Why give advice to this guy to turn and run when she might be a really nice girl and just being a typical 18 year old slightly immature chick. This is what life is all about. Getting into relationships and learning about people and how to handle yourself. I agree with a lot of what Amis said in the first long post about playing the field and not being TOO available to someone because I agree that everyone has to find their own worth and what makes them happy. And I agree that playing the field a bit at 18-20ish is the best thing to do so there are no regrets when the time comes to settle down and you are fully aware of what you want. I'm in agreement there. But to suggest this girl is a borderline psycho is not fair at all and def. not good advice. I'm a firm believer in not playing games with people. If he likes her and wants to text her 10 minutes after the date, good--go for it. If that's what you feel in your heart, do it! If she feels comfortable enough to ask him for help with a crappy situation, why chatise her for it. It's not like she asked to borrow a large sum of money or take a day off work to come help her. She was in a minor sticky situation and thought of someone trustworthy and nice to come help. I see no harm or foul in that. When he said he couldn't--it seemed to me that was the end of the story and obviously she got someone else. No biggie. I'm shocked by the overreaction here to that and to her texting. What 18 yr old do you know who's not constantly texting night and day?

Dude, best advice is just be yourself and when you want something, go after it. You seem like a smart and super responsible guy. If at this age you got your shit as together as you said you do: working, buying a house and an expensive car..then I don't think ANYONE is going to get you off track. You're smart enough to know how to handle your business if things get weird with some girl so just go after her if you like her and quit worrying if she is borderline personality disorder.
