Prime Rib Sale in So Cal

Prime rib is on sale at Ralphs for $3.99 a lb. I just picked up a 5 lb piece for $20, it was regualarly marked at $50

figured this would help some of ou out

Season it up and throw it in the oven at 325 per pound

325 per pound??? 325 degrees per pound? so your 5lbs chunck would need to be heated at 1625 degrees?

and what kind of seasoning?

Mr. may want to add how many minutes/lb at 325 degrees.

I would suggest 400 for 10 mins, to seal the outside a bit and keep they juices in. Then 250 degrees

That is another good option, you can even kick it up to like 550

nah, gonna save it for after the new year as i'm too busy and don't want to make it for myself.

I cut it into 2 2.5lb pieces and will wait for the wifey and I to return from our trip back out here.

I just cooked mine, and unless you want yours hard as a rock, I suggest modifying the time to 1/2 hour per pound. Mine came out well when I was shooting for medium.
