So my daughter is trying 5 on the 25th and with the weather being in the 40's We decided to make some shashlik for her birthday / Christmas party. Picked up 15 pounds of pork, plan to marinate it this evening and let it do it's magic until Sunday.

Anyone else crazy enough to make shashlik in the winter time?

So decided to make some kabobs the other day since it was 80 in February. Marinaded the chicken for just under 2hrs.

The marinade was very good. My gf and I alternate who gets to pick the marinade when I marinade things and this was her pick. I was really worried when I poured it into the bag as it was really thick like bbq and other than on ribs I am not a huge bbq sauce guy. It was not really a bbq sauce though and was extremely good. Was sweet but not to sweet. Maybe a little bit of spice but not much. I actually want to try it again and maybe add a little red pepper to the marinade to give it a litte heat to go with the sweet.
