I can still use the steak knives. But maybe I'll get the set I need for now and around Christmas I'll look at getting new steak knives and anything more I need.

They are average IMO.
But they are not too expensive either.
I will say you go for it.

I just replaced my old knifes with Global. Great knifes, well balanced, light weight and they hold great edge. I've used both Henckels and Wusthofs either match the comfort of the Globals. Not only do they perform well but they are a nice enough looking knifes to place on a global magnet just above the counter...these knifes don't deserve to be in a droor.

Update....
http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/prod...3491968&RN=395
Ended up getting these. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a decent set without spending a ton of cash. I ended up getting them 20% less with the coupon although the coupons usually excluded Henckel knives.
They are very sharp, well balanced and easy to take care off. The only complaint I have is that the stamped steak knives doesn't do the rest of the set justice. I'll be upgrading those in a couple months.
Thanks for all the input guys.
