miso soup

Anyone have any good miso soup receipts? I checked online and they all seemed more or less the same, but I am always open to suggestions.

I've started buying the Miso Soup from Trader Joe's. It is pretty damn good.

I have never made miso soup from scratch. Usually just buy the paste from Chinatown or from the Japanese foods store...

Great stuff tho. I have it about 2 times a week...just add it into boiling water, toss in a few small pieces of cubed tofu, wakame and voila.

the miso i make is pretty much some of that miso paste you can find in the asian grocery store (i have this green plastic container with a bunch of japanese and korean letters only..."must be authentic. hah") mix paste with adequate amount of water, boil, add tofu, bonito (shreded fish flakes), thinly sliced radishes and some seaweed (usually tied in a bow, dried). You can add some shrimp if you choose, even some udon. Hope that helps

everytime when I'm at a sushi place/Japanese restaurant, and when I hear the Asian waitress say "Miso", I start visualizing her say "Me So Horny"
