Got the part, installed it, works as good as new.

Interesting thing is that what I thought would be a nylon worm gear was not, it's metal!
Since it was covered in grease, I did not take out the gear prior to getting the new one.

It appears the newer machines are cheaper in construction and incorporate the nylon gears, whereas the older commercial type model I have is heavy duty with all metal gears.

I guess years of use will eventually wear down a metal worm gear.....crazy stuff!

Moral of the story: If you have a real good quality appliance that fails, take a bit of time to take it apart, you might be able to fix it....$10 spent >>>>>than $$$ hundereds.

There are plenty of interweb bases places to order parts as well.
