I have a serious bean problem

I am making chili again today, so I soaked my kidney beans and little white beans (chili beans) overnight and then this morning threw them into the pot with all my other fixins... and the white beans are still hard! They've been cooking ALL FUCKING DAY. Wtf should I do?

Scott's gonna be home in like 4 hours, so I have that long to figure this out. What did I do wrong? Should I have boiled the chili beans before putting them in the chili? I thought soaking them would take care of that... I really, really don't want to go through my 2 quarts of prepared chili, picking out all the white beans.

You have to soak and par cook raw beans before addition to any dish.

Sorry, but break out the tweezers.

You know, you really don't need to soak beans overnight.

Better method is to boil beans for 5 minutes, kill the heat, and let steep for 'bout 45 min.
