have you heard of saladmaster?

My mom is trying to buy few cookingware from a company called saladmaster. They are supposedly made of medical grade stainless steel, and cost like $200-300 for a pot and around 3-4 grand for whole set . Is this stuff for real? or is it some kind of scam? I'm trying convicne her not to buy this darn overpriced thing, and wanted to ask you wise ones at Azine for advice.

and please don't flame me or my mothers based on what you think, she is my mother after all.

my gf bought that stuff. its suppose to be "healthier" because you can cook things without using oil and less sodium BUT wtf is the difference if you use surgical steel pots and pans compared to old school clay pot. you're going to die anyways. the truth is whoever is trying to swindle your mom into buying that stuff gets half of the price tag go directly to the salespersons wallet. don't let your mom buy that stuff unless you guys have money coming out of your anus. don't let the salesperson recruit your mom into selling that stuff too it's like a cult/pyramid scheme. i despise people like that

A friend of mine invited me over for a personal saladmaster demonstration. It was some expensive shit, and the food tasted great. They ended up buying $2K worth of cookware. I didn't buy anything.

My parents got their set like 35-40 years ago and it all has lifetime warranty (they have replaced a few as the screws that hold the handle on used to be steel which would rust out).
Their set is decent and must have been before the company became the cutco of cookware.
It has lasted 40ish years.

I think my wife's aunt just got tricked into buying this stuff - or it might have been a competitor.

I have a rule not to buy anything that is sold door-to-door... except Girl Scout Cookies, which are rarely sold door-to-door nowadays, anyway.

I thought Saladmaster was a nym for wstevens.

Personally I'd stay far far away from any cookware that costs as much as a rangetop.
