Food Pr0n Thread
Hey guys, I haven't been around in a while, I figured it was about time.
Here's a thread for all you food lovers out there, the rules are pretty simple:
-Pics: Food you've cooked, food you got while out to eat, or just great looking dishes.
-Descriptions: What's in it? Does it compare to anything else? (If applicable)
-Feel free to ask for/share recipes/cooking tips if something looks good to you.
It'll be best if it's photos of meals you have cooked, but I know there are lots of great food blogs out there, and this would be a good place to concentrate all of that.

My own spin on a popular special at my restaurant "Tuscan Chicken and Ravioli"
I wasn't able to make my own ravioli or marinara sauce, but it came out pretty good.
I used newman's own vodka sauce, which isn't THAT bad, but it's the only vodka sauce i've tried to date, I've been meaning to make my own. I'm thinking of using that bakon~ vodka.
Green Bell Pepper Egg in A Hole
Pretty self explanatory

You can also stuff under the skin and you end up braising your stuffing as the fat in the skin renders off. You also end up with a crispier skin as it is pulled off the breast meat.

That was uncalled for...
Great thread Gnate... I love to cook too, but never really take pictures of the stuff I make... Except this; My dads friend owns a restaurant, I mentioned to him that I like to cook...He gave me an apron and said go nuts... Cooking in a restaurant kitchen is so different than a household kitchen, burners get MUCH hotter, MUCH quicker... Knowing this I kept it simple and didn't use any burners I used the wood burning oven only . Chopped some potatoes, garlic, rosemary, white wine, olive oil, and just a bit of butter on the skin of the chicken.
The taste of the fire, garlic, and white wine went straight into the chicken and potatoes... Everybody who ate it said it was fantastic... It's now on the menu
You'll also see some other pieces of meat in the pan, he wanted to try roasting them in my sauce... They were all equally delicious.

Good stuff Gnate, that looks awesome...
Forgot about this one, our Thanksgiving was a couple weeks back, and knowing the American thanksgiving is only a couple weeks away, I present to you a perfectly cooked 22lb turkey. Crispy skin, moist meat Not only did this bad boy feed 15 people, it made sandwhiches for days
That should get you guys in the mood

Creepy guy in the mirror.
I have been meaning to do this for awhile. French bread, garlic butter and mild cheddar grilled in a cast iron pan.

Nothing crazy but I came home for the holidays and made the fam some mac and cheese (Gruyère, extra sharp cheddar, and tomatoes on top).
This was after people started digging in:
Edit - looks kinda gross but was really good
