A day with the smoker...
What a great way to spend a lazy Sunday... Grab some patio chairs, a smoker, some meat, some beer and go to town. We did 4 racks of baby backs over cherry for about 5 hours at 225 degrees (using the 2-2-1 method of 2 hours initial smoke, 2 hours wrapped in foil with a splash of apple juice, then 1 hour smoked while being basted with BBQ sauce perodically).
Pulled pork I did the short cut way in the slow cooker. I actually used a tenderloin, rubbed with some homemade BBQ rub and about 2 cups of root beer in the slow cooker (on low) for about 7.5 hours. Pulled it out, shredded right apart and poured over a bit of BBQ sauce. Next time, I'll do a real pulled pork butt in the smoker... But will definitely do the slow cooker method again when I want realllly easy pulled pork.
Then did a bunch of drum sticks in the smoker too. We didn't really need the drumsticks, but the smoker was still holding temperature like a dream so it didn't feel right to waste such well maintained coals
Came out smokey, juicy and tender.
I also made some biscuits from scratch, to go with the pulled pork

(Never mind the ladder to get off the deck, the patio there is a work in progress, also nevermind my buddy with the black socks and shorts)

Smokin' away

Dinner time!

Left overs

Every single thing I made came out perfectly, if you've got any questions, feel free.
