I just got xbox live. I have a wireless connection on my computer. I bought an Ethernet cable , plugged it from my xbox into my computer. It's not working though, im not exactly sure what to do...am i doing this all wrong?

 

hmm well, did you buy a crossover cable?

I think you need that plus internet connection sharing.

I'm confused about the wireless connection, is it a city wifi provider or something and they only let you use one compter?

 

My brothers computer downstairs has the main cable modem. I have a Linksys upstairs. I bought a 7 foot Ethernet cable , plugs from back of the Xbox to the back of my computer.

 

I just bought the wireless adapter instead...100 bucks..but w/e. Rmatic09 user name gears of war.

If my brother and I have the same game, yet he's on 360 and I'm on old man XBOX, can we still play together via xbox live?

I can't imagine there are TWO Live's at this point.
