Xbox 360 Bundle pack November release

Anybody know how much the xbox360 bundle pack will be once released? said to have three games and 2 wirless controllers for Nov. 2006....

My boy is telling me $370, but that doesn't seem right, when comparing to the current prices of $600 with two games only....but we are talking about black friday...day after Thanks Giving...

I haven't seen any official announcements from Microsoft although I've heard a lot of speculation on bulletin boards about it.

Honestly, it seems to me like this is just another internet rumor about the 360....

It would make sence though. Dropping the price right before the PS3 launch to steal some of their glory.

^ It would make sense, but that seems like way too much to throw in. That would look like a desperate move if they went that far. Also, considering the 360 is already cheaper then the PS3 and MS has little to no profit margins on the systems themselves, I'd be surprised if they did anything...

they get no profit at all from the systems. in fact, they are losing money and have barely met 1/3 of their goal. i know this because my gf's job does marketing for MS

1/3 their sales goal maybe but I doubt their per-unit profit goal.

The system cost them alot in R&D and marketting but I was pretty certain the 360 was costing LESS per unit than the original XBOX.

That was the whole point in MS spending a bundle of money upfront to own the patents on all the hardware.

It's all about gaining market share. MS would be very smart to lower the price.

In parents minds this Christmas:

$300 Xbox360 > $600 PS3 (that isn't in stock anywhere)

Very Good point!

Heck that's the way I'm thinking!

HALO 3 is the only reason I'm getting xbox360....so i'll probably wait a lil longer either way.

edit: not a "lil" but alot longer is what seems like....

I was looking at bestbuy.com to reserve halo 3...they're saying 2010 is the release year !

I agree. But no way they're going to lower the price, then include 3 games PLUS an additional wireless controller. That's just not realistic. I would expect the price cut, but not a panic bundle since there's no reason to panic.

I woudlnt' expect more than a $50 price cut either, and only on the higher end 360 setup, not the core one.

They arent gonna include 230 bucks worth of extras and sell it for less than 399. The only think I would expect is maybe a $50 price cut. Which would make a lot of sence.

If M$ did this...it would do serious damage to the PS3 debut. Granted Fan boys will always buy their favorite console regardless, but for the average consumer buying holiday gifts a 360 bundle at this price versus a PS3 at a higher price and very limited availability....the 360 is the go to choice. M$ could grab huge market share, but only if they can afford to offer a 360 at that low of price this early in the game.

How much is a XBox360 right now? $400 for the premium system and $300 for the core system? I bet if they shave off $50 (like some have suggested) or throw in a 'decent game' for the current price ... you'll get people to buy it over a PS3. And the beauty of it is ... no line ups and camping outside!!!

Sorry Sony -- you screwed the pooch on the PS3. (But good for me an my MSFT stock! )

well, MS clearly annouced that they do NOT plan on lowering the price... but its up to the stores to offer breaks on bundles... (like throwing in an extra control, game(s) etc. etc...)

(ugh, I can't wait til Gears of War, Rainbow Six:Vegas come out!)

I think having to get ridge racer six away would cause me to ask less for the package.

frys has had a couple of good deals though, packaging some of the better games with the system for under 400 bucks, but most of them sold out online within a hour or two.

HALO 2 is just so addicting and simple. I wonder why I didn't think about it first!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not much of a gamer, but for some reason I'm always up to date on gaming systems

but yeah HALO 3 would be my only reason to buy xbox 360( also the fact that I could still play HALO 2 on it as well until HALO3 comes out) and MAYBE some racing games.

I've never beat an entire game not even HALO 2, I just like the internet gaming aspect of it.

However, there are deals out there. I paid $425 for the Premium system, NCAA 2007, an additional wireless controller, and 13 months of XBOX Live Gold about 3 months ago. All brand new stuff.

Gotta love eBay . And yeah, I'll be doing the same thing for the PS3 since I'll be waiting until next spring/summer.
