I dont know about you guys but i am excited to see that now NEO-GEO games are available for download on the virtual console. (yes i knew it was comming for a while) i always did like the Fatal Fury series Samuri Showdown was on neo-geo wasnt it? if so i hope they get that soon. was talking with a freiend and we both agreed nintendo should try to get Atari or original gameboy which should be hard they could combine each gameboy game program with the super nintendos super gameboy that allowed you to play game boy games in full screen and added color and had custimisable surroundigs.

Gawd, I loved that console...and the PC Engine was great too.

 

I still have my neo-geo pocket (non color) and even now enjoy playing it...it was such an incredible alternative to anything out in the U.S. when i got it (circa 1999).

I remember a family friend who got a Neo Geo ... twin 24-bit processor (I think) smoked the 16-bit systems (SNES, Genesis) at the time ... but the games were crazy expensive as was the controller (I'm talking in CAD$). But the games were cool. Weren't they essentially the arcade game but shrunk down into cartridge format?

But since I've hacked my Wii ... I don't connect to the Internet to do anything ... especially updates.

 

My friend has a Neo Geo. $200 controllers and games. I think the system was $600. Sick graphics and played exactly like the arcade. I believe they virtually were the arcade games.

 

your kinda missing out on features the last update made it so you can use most USB keyboards for typing instead of use the wiimote and on screen keyboard but then again if you dont connect to the internet then i guess you wont miss it im just waiting for action replay (or something similar) so i can get my cheat on
