Hey guys. I recenty reset my computer to when I first got it because I was having problems with it freezing and not playing videos/music .etc(anything that was too much going on). I also couldnt see what process were running from my task manager because it was corrupt. Now I can play movies/music etc most of the time but it still will slow down sometimes, before I had any problems at all it would be fine. Currently I have 50 processes running including firefox. I want to know which ones I can turn off without messing up my computer because I dont know which is which. Ill post up what my processes are if that helps. Thanks people.

A good listing of real programs, spyware, and virus related stuff. Be warned that same stuff uses the same name.

 

start - run - type in msconfig - click on 'startup' tab.

uncheck anything you don't want to automatically start up, that might help.
