What do you do with games after you finish them?

just wondering.

do you sell them? keep them on the shelves? replay them later on? give them away?

depends for me. for sports games, i'll sell the previous season's game on ebay and get the new/upcoming season. so once i finish a season i'm about to complete on fifa09, i'll move on to fifa10.

but other games i've finished like modern warfare and uncharted, i still intend to keep them and play them later on.

I keep almost everything. I can't even get into games if I am renting them usually, because I feel like everything I am working towards is not going to last anyway.

But I also don't have very many seasonal type games like sports titles.

I used to never trade in games...until this year when I gave up 3 titles for Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2.

Otherwise, yeah...I keep them.

keep all of them.

ever since somebody offered me 150 bucks for one of these, i've become a collector.
i paid 50 bucks for a copy of mario kart for super nintendo but now i have it and can overcharge for it one day.

aslo, EVERY SINGLE game i own is scratch free, and goes back into the case when im done playing it... even the Limited editions that are a bitch to open and close and put back in the sleeves... part of the reason i refuse to sell old games to the store.. they pay the same amount for my perfect condition games as the kids that have been kicking them around the kitchen floor for 6 months..

I actually had an original Nintendo with over 20 games that I sold off last year. It was loads of fun, but I never played it. I was shocked when I looked up what some of the games were going for on eBay. Half of mine had mint boxes and all original packaging (including BS inserts for Nintendo Power and posters)...much better than most of what you see for sale. The guy that bought them could've made a fortune if he resold them.

I should Craigslist them.... but the last time I did it, I was lazy and put my 360 steering wheel, 360 games and PS2 games all in one ad and I guess people were too lazy to read the title so no one e-mailed me

I keep mine, but if you're looking to trade them in, try Goozex. May take a while, but you get a lot more for them that way.

Most of mine honestly stay with me. I tend to buy games with serious replay ability.

The rare ones that I get bored with, i just give them away to friends.

I usually play 1 game at a time and swap them in to Gamestop as soon as I finish for another game. With the membership card it works out pretty good, especially since the "new to me" game I pick up is also a used game. The only games I keep are ones like GH that have high replay value.

I give them back to EB games, and now that they have just started charging a refurbishing fee for used games I'm less inclined to do so.

However, when I was able to sell my games for $28 or so, I thought it was worth it.

I think I will craiglist or ebay my games now, who knows.

Maybe sell them on AZine or some other web forum.

If I beat them quickly and they're still relatively new I'll trade them in. When Fight Night came out I traded in 3 because of a promotion they had but their value was actually higher so I ended up getting 2 games for trading 3.

When I was a kid, my brother and I would always trade in our games for whatever newer system that just came out. It wasn't until a few years ago that I wanted all the games I've sold or traded in over the years, back. So now I always just keep them, regardless if I think I won't play them again.

I just keep them. Never know when I want to play them again, and of course game stores will screw you over on the trade in.

Throw them a towel to wipe themselves off and kick them out the door.

Oh, gaaames.

I don't even really buy games anymore unless they are for long-time usage, like COD for online or forza for when I'm bored.
Otherwise i just beat games too fast and they just sit around, because they have no trade-in value.
