How does the game play?

 

I'm about to find out, unwrapping it now.

 

Its kinda hard at first, but you get a hang out of. I need to do the super licence, then I have all 4. I have about 12-13 bikes. The 400cc's are easy to get.

 

gawd.. im such a noob i keep falling trying to get a yamaha R6 geez guess i should go for something lower in cc

the 1st license test was way easy to get, i like got maybe 75% of them gold and the rest silver, gotta thank GT4 for that

 

What happens when you fall off the bike? Can you fall off the bike? Do you have to get up and pick the bike up?

What happens when you hit the wall? Do you bounce off like in GT?

 

When you fall off the bike, it just puts you back on.

When you hit a wall, you fall down.

 

I love the intro to this game. Reminds me of the gran turismo 1 intro, which was the best out of all of them. Better music than the commercialized stuff.

the best part is when you wipe out at like 130MPH and the bike just FLIES. Man, that track is the shizz.

 

Got it yesterday and played for about 3 hours great game. So far I only got the novice and junior license. I have the CBR600, R6, GSXR750 & 600. Too me the R6 is the best and fastest 600cc bike. I also have a bunch of other 250cc and 400cc bikes. The sense of speed on this game is excellent even better than GT4. One question for you guys which view do you use? I use the cockpit view. I can't wait too get home so I can play some more, tonight I will start on getting the 1000cc bikes!!!

 

the cockpit view gives me the best times, but It's not as consistent as when I use the other two views. I unlocked a few of the racing bikes, even won the 1000cc racing series. However, I cannot win the 600cc racing championship. I always get bullshitted at the end of the race.

finished the 600cc series in first place. Almost bullshitted yet again. ANyhow, one thing I'm pretty angry at is the lack of races for the 1000cc race bikes. I would think there'd be a whole slough of them. Now I'm off to try and win the TT cup.

Well on more than one occasion, I've been bumped in the final lap by another bike causing me to crash. Other times, i just phantom fall. Always on the same two areas . One in Deep Forest, other in Midfied. Only happens when I'm in cockpit view though. I'll get into deeper explanation next time it happens. OFF TO CLASS!!

 

So the AI has improved over GT4's?

Id think so if they try and take you out in the last lap...

 

may be a bit of that. Plus it also has to do with my riding style whatever you wanna call it. I'm usually a little slower in than the comp but a lot faster out. They catch up at the begining of the turnand then box me either in or out type deal.

The game is a lot of fun.

You get to use all of the endurance race bikes in here. I've yet to actually try and win a race, but it doesnt seem too hard. Anyhow, it's bed time for me.

 

Will MotoGP2006 be better than this?

 

Moto GP = race bikes

Tourist Trophy = street bikes

Each has its own flavor. In terms of graphics, Moto GP for Xbox 360 will obviously LOOK better. Physics and playability-wise, I wouldn't know until I tried em myself.

 

Has anyone tried comaparing lap times on the same track with the ones you run on GT4 to see if the cars or bikes are faster?

 

BTW the Kawasaki ZX-6RR is the best 600cc bike its fucking sick!! I ran the best lap time on Fuji 80s with this bike. Its faster on this track than the R1, GSXR750, CBR1000RR and 954R just to name a few.

 

really? I'll try this right now. My fastest lap time bike is the #7 bike from suzuka 8h. one in the intro with the funky stars.

 

got this today.... played around with it a little, I like the full-screen mode the best (no dash/handlebars)... pretty fun, I took a CBR600RR at Laguna in Arcade mode. The wheelies are cool. I'm not gonna have as much time for this as I did w/ GT4 though.... due to some differences in schedule now. But, I will be playing.

And I should have said above, Tourist Trophy has street bikes & race bikes... I forgot about the race bikes. :P

 

RM=Racing models. Still a sweet game though. I'll be all over Motogp4 when it comes out. Nothing like riding the actual GP bikes, on the actual GP tracks.

 

yeah, I wish it was like GT4, where they had like, REAL race versions of the cars. Nothing like driving the actual race cars.

 

ok wow... just got my beginner and junior license, and grabbed a Duc 999R. Won it on the first try. I like how you "win" the bikes by racing the missions. Refreshing change from GT4.

I've never raced motorcycles, let alone rode em like this to any degree (just a 4-spd 100cc mini dirt-bike, and a couple of scooters) - but most of my friends have bikes and I hear em talk about it and umm.... can kinda relate. Anyway, this game rocks - hands-down best motorcycle sim I've ever played - I love how the front end gets "light" when you're on the throttle going up a hill for instance, and you can actually like feel it - you can't steer, bike feels floaty... kick ass. I mean you really feel like you are at the edge. Wonderful. This Duc rocks!!!!

try Deep Forest w/ Duc 999R.... wonderful track w/ a wonderful bike.

it's crazy but as I'm playing, I am feeling renewed interest in getting a real bike!!!! lol.
