thinking of getting a Wii -- need help
Well I have a 360, a PS3 and may finally get a Wii. My wife has been hounding me to get one for a while, since she doesn't really like my 360/PS3 games except the NBA 2K series. I've played the wii a few times in the store and it was surprisingly fun. I'm finally convinced the Wii is not just a gimmick.
I'm would like to get one soon, but am very confused on what exactly I should get. I know the $199 black one comes with a couple of games (wii sports, Wii Resort) and one controller and nunchuck but honestly I don't know much too much else about the console itself and accessories.
Questions
-----------------
1. What is the purpose of the nunchuck?? I know it plugs into the controller, but what is it used for, When I get the wii, do I need to get a controller AND nunchuck to play with 2 people?
2. What is "Wii motion plus" is this something new?
3. Is it possible to play games like Metroid with the included controller, or would I have to buy the standard game pad?

my honest advice.
borrow one from somebody first.
its fun for everyone while they test them in the store every few weeks/months or so..
we got ours home and within literally one week, regretted it. i bought a game that i knew i would like. (super mario brothers wii) and also had wii sports.
the motion sensory driving on mario kart? blows...
everything was a waste of money. of course, everyone has different tolerance for different items... but as a nintendo lover. (i currently own every other Nintendo console except game cube) it got very old, very quick. also, after years of playing HD gaming.. the 480p resolution of all wii games is a huge step down.

my honest advice is wait for the kinect for 360 to come out in a month, it'll be cheaper than buying a wii and much much cooler. Show her the demos of kinect games like kinectimals, mtv dance central, yourshape fitness and much more. This thing is insanely good! Do not waste money on a Wii, this thing is many times better and the kinect add-on is cheaper than buying a wii!
Please show your wife these videos they'll change her mind. This thing comes out next month or early Nov at the latest. Wait.
