Should I get a DS

After seeing that new Mario game I'm kinda interested in getting a DS.

I know the lite comes out next month...but I have some night shoots starting tonight where it could me from being dead bored.

I know many will say PSP...but they are expensive. I dont love the controls. And I doubt I would play either system ALL the much. So, the nintendo is cheaper and has some fun games on it.

Whatcha think...yes or no?

I too, am thinking about getting one, just because of that damn Mario game.

But I have a PSP, so I'm not going to buy one.

My japanese friends all into DS, none of them like PSP. Especially DS has that Brain game that got a lot of people hooked into it.

As for me, I like PSP, because I like racing games

your mom =

I played the PSP and the games to me are made for big screens not something I would want to play just because I am bored. I think thats why Nintendo shines. They keep it simple and have games you can play randomly not games like Grand Theft Auto where you are trying to shoot out of a window and not roll the car at the same time.

I would say get the DS thats only because I am not a fan of heavy gaming on the go, I like it simple. Plus watching movies isn't a big priority, it's smaller and you don't ever have to worry about nintendo format going under like UMD is going through now.

I think you hit it right there. I really simple quick games on portables. Mainly puzzle games, and few adventure games.

When I had my gameboy advance all i owned was Zelda and Super Puzzle fighter...I'm going to have puzzle fighter again if I buy a DS...great game.

I was also thinking of getting a DS. My little bro has one so I could use his games, and we could battle each other. I would say get it, it will keep you intertained, and is not that expensive.

I wasnt going to get anything. But then I got a call for yet another night shoot. And this one seems like it will be hell...last night I got to chill in a wealthy actress/musician couples AMAZING house with wirelss and a 56" plasma with cable (and this is 2nd home with a big plasma...they look TERRIBLE.)

Anyway...the setup tonight does not look so comfy. So, after much debate between a DS and PSP..I went DS. Picked up the NEW Mario, Tetris, and Mario Kart....hope I have fun with it.

I must say...I do not regret my purchase.

New Mario, Tetris DS, and Mario Kart are all really fun games. I just got home from shooting that damn baby reality show...and this thing kept me entertained during all my downtime. I'm surprised at how much I really like it.

I wasnt even considering a DS, simply because its a nintendo product. But the PSP has a bunch of features that I really dont care about. Media player, thats what I have my Ipod for. Movies, I have a personall DVD player for that. The DS is a lot cheaper, and a pretty good lineup of games. BUT The PSP is on sale at frys for 250 and it comes with 5 games..
What to do, what to do.

I was unaware that there was a value pack.
Does the Value pack that you speak of come with 5 games or periphrials?

Nah, the games are already determined. None of them are anything to speak of. But they are still 5 games.

The only games I would really want on PSP are GTA and GT4 mobile if/when they come out with it.

But the thing is, is if your lookin to spend 250, you could get the DS and a plethora of games.

I just called Frys...I like going there...but they are pretty much worthless people.

Ah....Oh well... I know the people are worthless. Just about as much help as a Home depot or best buy employee...But i dont go there for great customer service.

I dont remember what the games were. I still have the paper at home, i can look when I get home. But I know the games were nothing really special...

I think im just gonna pick me up a DS and a few games and call it a day... Its got built in wifi right?

Its got built in wifi...but it seems to need the adapter which is extra??? I have to read the manual still. It did find my home connection last night.

I found the games listed in the bundle...crap save one. And of course you call frys they are like "do we have a bundle?" The big answer is, the promotion ended.

You can get a DS and 3 games for the cost of a PSP with nothing.

Games Included: (no wonder why they are giving them away)
The hustle (pool game)
Poker game
Untold Legends
and 2 other games that I cant read because of their lack of printing skills.
Heres the ad:
