Thanks I can't read video games stuff at work. Looking forward to testing this. Didn't care for the GT6 Beta with the Z a few years back but maybe PS4 goes ham on GT series.

Hopefully there are some improvements over GT6, more specifically engine notes.
Brother-in-law has a PS4, may have to 'borrow' it for a bit.
From what I've read, it's an FIA recognized racing series.
I think the quote I read was something like, imagine standing next to Lewis Hamilton at the awards ceremony & you never left your couch.
Maybe a way for people to possibly get into a real drive?
I am curious what the end result from the series is. I wonder how many game users would be as good in a real car
Lot easier to be reckless when you can hit the reset button.
In alphabetical order, here are the cars we spotted during the announcement. There could be more we didn't catch, and a few more obscure ones are just on the tips of our tongues. So, if you happen to spot more, fire away in the comment section.
Spending like 70k credits on the racing livery and having no idea WTF it was for. But some of them looked cool, so... sure.
Stage 4 turbo kit ALL the things
Brakes and suspension not really needed since you just use the other cars and walls to slow down/help turn. But money is burning a hole in your wallet, buy them anyway.
My older brother and his roommates back in the day were too cheap/forgot to buy a memory card initially for one of the games. But they made so much progress that they didn't wanna lose it, so they didn't turn off the Playstation and kept playing GT every day. Took over a week for them to finally buy a card.
In the first or second game, with me being a dumb and impatient kid, I didn't like how long it took for the credits to transfer to you when you finish a race... like when you get awarded 10,000cr or whatever and it depletes to 0, then you can proceed. I started button smashing and discovered it counted down to 0 much faster.
The biggest "revelation" I had was that when doing this, you sometimes got a free car!
I showed my brother this "trick" and he was surprised. He tried it, and it worked! He trusted me implicitly, as even though I was a little kid, I played a shit ton of games and probably knew what I was doing. His friends button mashed religiously, even if they lost a race.
Later, I found out the free car thing was a reward for winning certain races, but didn't think much of it. Couple of my brother's friends were pretty big dudes, and I guess the repeated stress of them mashing and taking their anger out when the "trick" didn't work resulted in at least one broken controller.
Eventually one guy wanted to see what would happen if you don't button mash. The credit reward rolled in, and he still got the free car. Tried to tell the friend group, but they doubted him. Bunch of dudes watched him do a race, but the most anticipation was for the post-race.
Myth was debunked and my brother got a ton of shit for spreading misinformation
When I finally started hanging out with his friends, I must have heard that story at least 3x. I still owe them a controller.

Plus, this car... at the speed
Take that car to the test track, fuck with the down force and that thing could fly

oh man, that is sweet to see
did you also put rubber bands on the controller to hold the gas and steering locked so its on auto-pilot?
GT4 had the HPA VW R32 with all the highest upgrades that think stuck to the road with unreal acceleration. You could just race over and over the race that gave the Castrol Toyota offroad car worth like 265k when you sold it and make millions easily. Wasn't really a cheat but was super helpful in buying cars.
