PS4: Ghost of Tsushima
I'm guessing that since there's no thread, I'm prolly one of the only ones who purchased the game?
Anyone else?

So, been playing for about 2 evenings -- 1-2 hours each. Made it past the prologue and now, into the vast open world. This game is pretty wide-open. Again, like from going from FF7R to TLoU2, going from TLoU2 to this takes getting used to.
The biggest is the lack of a lock on system. That takes some getting used to. Graphics are pretty nice...very lush looking ancient Japan world.

Friend texted me yesterday and literally told me to stop what I'm doing and get this game ASAP. Reading the wiki it definitely seems very promising.
Is it pretty widely available (aka Target, Wally world, etc.)?

Mine was a PO from Walmart. I think you can buy one or just order it digitally on the PS Store?

Slapstick aside, I'm still not complete the Tale of Sensei Ishikawa ( Legolas) and got distracted and now chasing some mythic armor through some purple flower meadows. Fought a lady at the top of a mountain and found out that I fought her for nothing since the armor is not there.
Game isn't easy. I've died my share of times so far.

Nice. Never seen a Jewish samurai before.

I haven’t finished Isikawa yet. I’m almost done with Masako/clan Adachi. I’ve got that armor where you fought the lady. I’m working on dueling 5 straw hats for another armor.
now if I can just find the Star of David sword...

Rescued Yuna's bro from the harbor town...lots of Mongol soldiers garrisoned there.
I did clear out the town after too. That took a few tries. At least I got the Moon stance now and can take on the brutes easier.

The game is quite good. I am very much enjoying it and it has gotten more addictive/better as I've played more. It's a bit repetitive but it's not in a bad way per se. The graphics are indeed gorgeous.
I can't compare it to Sekiro as I didn't play it but it does feel somewhat similar to Bloodborne. The control is not as "tight" as TLoU2 but obviously, that's a very different type of game.
With FF7R, TLoU2, and now GoT, I'd say it's been a very nice trifecta of killer apps for the retiring console with the PS5 around the corner.

You're referring to trophies? I'm just around the 30% mark...probably not playing enough.
I am on Act II with I think Act I fully complete and explored (the southern part of the island). I'm right now in episode 6 of the monk storyline and making my way westward in Act II. Liberated the walled town last night that starts with a "Y"...Yamazaki-something-something.

I think 71% is all items found, etc.
I need to find all the banners, crickets, Mongolian artifacts, and flowers to get 100%
I found all the shrines, Fox dens, bamboo strikes and vanity items.
There is definitely room for a sequel.

I've been pretty good at going after flowers when I see them. But, makes me wonder if I ignored some esp. on my mountain climbs to the shrines.

and yeah, flowers seems like the most obscure item. So I will likely never get 100%. I have to figure out if I even want to do all the things.

Wrapped up the game last night. Got to 87% overall progress but reading up some of the trophies I need...yeah, I think I'm good for now.
Beautiful looking game. The final fight was just done gorgeously...I chose the honor path.
Overall, quite repetitive but it works. I would still put it a close 3rd behind FF7R and TLoU2. Can't go wrong with either though.

I chose the path of sparing him...but I want to know what the other path leads, too. Clearly the ending will be similar.
