PS3: SOCOM - Confrontation
 

So the beta for this game starts this weekend for people who pre-ordered it. I might have a couple extra invites to it as well if somebody wants one. Who's going to play the beta or get the full game when it comes out?

They've also been designing it to be more like SOCOM II than the last couple, which is a good thing because I have so many great memories from S2 but not too many from 3/CA.

If you pre-order it through gamestop.com, you'll get an invite to the beta along with 2 invites for friends, so if any of you are definitely getting the full game, you should just do this

well the beta code you get can be used 3 times. but you only get one code.

im in the beta and have played it. its the best FPS i have played.

Keep in mind, it's not a FPS. It's not first person.

This will probably be the best shooter of the year like SOCOM 2 was. I have been a hardcore SOCOM fan since #1 and was fortunate enough to be invited in the private beta and reported my ideas and glitch exploits to the dev team. It was cool hanging out in rooms with Seth and the rest of the dev team.

The aim in the diamond and see their name was my idea that they used for the public beta. :thumbsup:

BTW, I'm on all the time in US West 1.

I thought it had a single-player mode, but that it was quite short, sort of like Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2.

:werd: COD4 single player hasn't even been started. So for me, I wont be missing anything with confrontation.

COD4's single player is actually really, really good. It's worth playing some time.

You're not alone. There are a bunch of immatures on LIVE, I here! And I have no time for immature comments that these guys make. Besides, I REALLY enjoy playing by MYSELF!

This game has never been about a good single player. It's the online play that made it so popular. I think it's great that they didn't waste their time on a single player campaign

ya my buddy picked it up today, went to best buy and a guy brought it out for him, target has them as well, been playing for the past couple of hours, its sick

i heard desert glory is in this. man i remember that map from the very first socom. damn that was fun.
