I think I was confusing it with the walking dead game that came out a few months ago

 

That game looked like dookie to me. I hate the art style they went with.

 

I actually went yesterday to pick up my preordered copy. Video games always come out on Tuesdays so I didn't pay attention to the actual date on the receipt. Doh! Now I have something to look forward to Friday for. I did give me a chance to preorder the PS4 though.

 

I was confused as well. Tuesday is usually when all games release. Not sure why they're release this on a Friday. Oh well, at least we can start on a weekend.

Congrats on the pre-order.

 

I felt like an idiot walking around looking for a game that wasn't there though. I guess I've never seen a game released on a Friday so I didn't think twice about it until I went to actually get the game to check the date.

Yeah that walking dead game was garbage. I hate those style games where they fight for you and you just press circle or triangle. Shits weak.


Scheirnbeck- did you preorder the ps4 at GameStop? I was going to do best buy but they want the full 400 so I was curious if GS is the same before I get one this weekend. Hollerrrr

 

I'd imagine it's like their games. You can put down $5 and reserve a game. Maybe like $50 for a console.

 

I preordered it through Best Buy and their credit card. They charged the whole amount up front but I haven't actually received the bill yet so I'm not sure how that will work out yet. With the reward zone points and certificates you will get about $20-$25 back. This is why I personally chose Best Buy.

 

I've been really looking forward to this, I'll probably pick up a used PS3 just to play this

 

That's exactly what I'm doing. We pay off our cards each month so I was hoping I could be cheap about it but it looks like that's not going to happen.



I didn't know the last of us is also a comic book about what happens before where the game picks up. Kind of want to read them now

 

I put the purchases on the Best Buy credit card at the register. Then I go to the service counter and pay cash on my credit card. I get the benefits of using the credit card like more reward points, longer return policy, etc

I preordered it last night

I didnt want to pay for it so I called GameStop to see how much they would give me for my wii because I've never played it and its still in the box. They said $25 looks like my daughter is getting a wii in a few years like I got my dads old Atari

 

What a fricken joke. Sell it on eBay or something.

Well after about 30 minutes of playing, I'm very impressed. Happy I have a PS3. Also doing well with auto saving, no issues

Also, be prepared to be hit right in the feels

 

I just paused it at the part where they are riding in that jeep at the beginning and said holy balls this is supposedly happening basically where I live and drive erryday

I got to where they meet the firefly chick and are going to go look at the guns. Right after they kill Robert. About 30 min or so. The familia got home so I had to quit but about to go start it up again.

Nope, I didn't play any multiplayer.

I was up till 1:30 playing though

Had a break in between too, my brother wanted to play some Xbox.

I wish I could still play, I have to be at stupid work.

I really wanna check this out. I've read reviews that say the gameplay is pretty meh. Everything else about the game is getting great reviews, though

 

I'm almost done with the game. The load times are ridiculous though. When you start up after playing for a bit into the game it takes awhile. The game and graphics are kick ass though.

I finished the game last night. Good story and great graphics. Sold the game already on Amazon so it only costs me $10 to play it.

 

Not since Resident Evil 1 and Silent Hill (1 & 2) have I felt this level of suspense. Always low on ammo, never at full health, always enemies around. I also try to keep my flash light off as much as possible to add to the suspense.

I don't know about the replay ability factor for a game like this, but then again I'm still old school and buy games for single player. After I beat it, I will up the ante by adjusting difficulty. Multiplayer games for me are best on PC, in that aspect I am a PC elitist.

This game wont disappoint if you are a fan of the survival/horror genre or like naughty dog the developer, worth the purchase.

 

Best game I've played in a long long time. Easily the best exclusive on PS3.

 

Love it, started this morning.

 

I'm getting pretty damn far now, still very fun. after a few hours I do get kinda burned out on it and have to stop. Oh well, it's making the game last longer. I think it said I have 10 hours in it...

 

I was kind of disappointed in the trophies given out for the game. You don't get hardly any for playing the game through once. You would have to play the game through 8+ times to get all the trophies.

 

Yeah, I saw that too. Eff that. I'll probably beat it, try multiplayer, and sell it.

 

Finished this the other night. Among my favorite games easily now, & the story is absolutely amazing. Very very few games, have I ever played for the story, but this game's is easily among my Top 3, if not, my favorite.

So much meaning behind characters' ending decisions & well explained reasoning throughout the story that show why Ellie & Joel are content with their outcome. Lots of great, emotional scenes to strengthen their bond & a fantastic view on humanity when morality has come to the point beyond saving.
