PS3: Killzone 2 **Reviewed by IGN (page 1)**

My review thus far:
Visually, the game looks great. Nothing comes close. There are some slights jerks after check points, but more or less, no complaints.
As far as the controls and shooting....maybe i'm spoiled by COD...but I am having a hard time getting used to it.
The controls and turning feels sluggish and then at times to fast to properly lock onto targets. It's not so easy to maneuver through the battlefield picking off multiple targets .I find that I have to plant myself, shoot, and then move again.
Multilayer is fun, but I got bored fast. I love the clan systems and rankings though and plan on doing this with a few friends (or maybe even an Azine Crew?)
This game is worth playing. I will give it more time and re-evaluate how I feel.

first of all, about the controls. This is a case of where everyone is used to one way of things (i.e. call of duty control characteristics) and a new game comes along with some slightly different perameters.
heres the thing boys, games like Halo and Call of Duty are entirely UNREALISTIC. no human moves like that with no resistance and with perfect pin-point accuracy.
This game introduces a law of physics that has long been absent from FPS games...the word is inertia. google it if you must, but at the end of the day, this control scheme introduced for Killzone 2 is nothing short of amazing. It does take some getting used to, in fact i am not fully used to it yet, however i am very impressed by it and the game in its entirety.
the multiplayer ranking system is perfectly set up to keep things fresh and encourage you to continue playing and ranking up.

the multiplayer of KZ2 DOES rival COD4, its alot deeper and more fun. It introduces many new elements such as engineers building and setting turrets, players having the ability to create a spawn point in a strategic forward location on the battlefield, different medic functions, ammo supply, etc.
This is hands down the best looking console game in history. for that fact alone, its worth a look.

im still really early in the game, but jeez in 1080i i keep forgetting to play the game cus im checking everything else out. agreed the controls are off but every game plays different, and i didnt like cod4 controls until i could put the sensitivity right where i wanted it

I like how when you look around the gear on you still makes noise and if you look too much in one direction you hear footsteps like you are moving your body around instead of twisting your neck all the way around

i too felt that the movements were dumb as hell. but after putting in a few hours into kz2 then playing cod right after, i realized how arcadish cod movements were. kz2 multiplayer shits right on top of cod.

Say what you will about cod's "arcadish" feel, but in terms of overall MP experience, KZ falls far short.

I also what to know how KZ2 is better than COD. i liked modern warfare a lot, but WOW totally sucks. i downloaded the demo and i am contemplating getting KZ. i really liked it. but i will mostly play it in multiplayer. i would appreciate it if someone gives me a comparison. only thing ive gathered is that the controls are different, but i already established that from the demo.

I'm curious, is there any chance we can get a azine clan goin for killzone 2. i think that would be great.

<-- now has killzone.
i gotta admit, its fun, very different feel from anything else... more controls like gears of war somewhat story like resistance. its slower gameplay for me and i have to get used to it... but i think it could get some playing time from me. count me in for a clan guys
