Installing now! It does take awhile like doucher said.
I also preordered Metal Gear Solid 4 while I was at Gamestop. They gave me a disc that has a demo and a video. Was rather surprised.

Yeah, same thing happened to me many times.
The race I just did, I started at pos 12 (last), moved my way to to 1st, only to get wiped out at the end....

I haven't seen that either. Daytona's better but still... I think if you play online too much and then go back to the actual game you get your ass kicked cause that wreckless style doesn't work in the actual game.
What car are you using? I'm using the Ford GT, the tuned Viper is a good car too. That's the only car that can keep up with the GT but still the GT has more top speed.

Anyone else beat it yet? I finished Class A last night, that shit is hard! Once you beat class A it unlocks Class S and the ability to quick tune your vehicles!!

I finished C and B, but haven't started A yet.
I can't seem to get a Gold in some of the events, like the one you have to beat the time with the Cappuccino. Best for that one was a Silver.
Do you get anything special for beating the class with all Gold like the prior GTs?

Oh I didn't beat it with all golds! Hell no I think that's impossible with just a PS3 controller. When you get to class A you'll see what I'm talking about. Some of those races are impossible, it's really hard just to get bronze. For example the tracks Fuji and Suzuka in the Japanese 300hp car only race you start out 16th and you have to get to at least 3rd in 3 laps, I was able to do that while running a pretty much error free race but I got 3rd place and the 1st place guy still had 20 second on me!
If you make one mistake like go off the track into the dirt you might as well start over cause you're not catching up, the competition drives really good which makes it close to impossible to get first place in 3 laps especially when you start out 16th!
I will say the secret is at those hairpin turns right after the long straight way you have to get aggressive and cut ahead 3 or 4 spots but don't go to fast in to the corner or you'll go right off the track and as mentioned above once you do that you might as well start over. the other secret is you really have to research your car! I'll give you a few hints as to the best car for the Japanese 300hp only races in Class A: it's the car with the highest hp/kg ratio and the most torque. To clarify there are two different cars that have the same hp and the same weight (which means the same hp/kg ratio) yet one is 1/3 the price of the other and it has more torque! This is the one you want!

What do you guys think of the new interior view from the driver's seat? I love it! I still think I'm better with the outside 3rd person view of the car but this one is a close second! I actually had flashbacks the first time I tried it out when I spun out the car! I spun out my real car going around a corner a few months ago the feeling was just about the same in the game sans the fear of a life threatening injury! Check out the interior view of the Nissan Gt-R 07 in the game it's got a function version of the in-dash display that Polyphony made for the actual car! I thought it was neat!

Yeah, I really like the new interior view. I use that or the full screen.
Never been a fan of the 3rd person mode. Maybe for drift?
Have you tried Drift mode? It is in the "Arcade" section. I have a hard time doing that mode. Perhaps it is because I have a wheel? Controller might be easier?

I have no idea how to use the braking and what not...I suck. On top of it all, I am getting pissed at how many times I'm getting disconnected from a game. Really weak.

you're probably getting disconnected cause whoever is the host player is being a little bitch and is quitting cause they aren't winning and when they quit it disconnects everyone! It never fails, every time I'm in 1st the host quits, that's why I've yet to get 1st in an online race. bunch of bitches!

Interior view is cool looking, but much harder to drive fast. We are using the GT-R to win most everything, but in those 300HP Japan-only races we have an Evo IX that is ok but not great. Also, the vette handles much better than the Ford GT, that thing is like driving on ICE! Haven't done much online driving, we've just been working on beating the game and unlocking the mods on the cars.
