PS3 divx and file sharing

Trying to figure out if I can sell my TVisto. It's a device that takes practically any divx, xvid or DVD ISO and plays it on the TV. I have heard from a lot of people that if I set up WMP11 or something on my PC I can share all of my movies and play them through the PS3.

Any truth to this? Anyone know how easy it is to do?

I don't know about playing ISO files, but it plays ALMOST all of my videos from my PS.

TVersity converts the files into something the PS3 can play.

Oh wow. Tversity looks sweet. I'm definitely going to try it out.

How does the PS3 know where to look for it all?

If they're on the same network, the PS3 automatically looks for media servers

interesting, because when the ps3 first supported that, windows media player would only stream like wmv files or dvds, it was very limited, i would use the nero media server or whatever it was, but it was kind of slow on rendering and was glitchy
