Well software version 2.80 just came out. The one improvement that I know of is to gameplay of some PS3 games, but I don't know the full change list.

. I'm going to start looking for a keyboard. I type a lot more messages than I thought I ever would, and I hate using the controller, even with the prediction system.

A new software version? Damn it! Those things take forever to to download and install. So much for going home and killing people right away

Haha yeah it is definitely easier. The Logitech Bluetooth keyboard for the PS3 is pretty hot but expensive.

I don't THINK the software upgrade is necessary to play COD4, so you could probably hold off on it until you want. But I'm not 100% sure.

I don't see why not. That's how I get my aftermarket controller to work.

I think you can only give him a physical card instead of shooting money to his account (PSN doesn't do points). They sell them at Target, Gamestop, etc.
