get the cheaper of the 2.
if your MB died and your buying a new one means it was at least a year old, so chances are they are better than what you had so just get the least expensive of the 2.
and if the cost the same get option 1

the crosshair is gamer-oriented therefore it costs more. it also comes with more features that i would consider unnecessary. other people might tell you otherwise
get the m4a89td pro
edit: i have the ma87td pro and its still running strong

Wish I would have saw this earlier.
My handle on steamforums is "Notavirus.exe" and I help people fix and build PC's quite a bit.
The answer to your question is a question.
What is the PC used for? If you answered overclocking or gaming then you want the crosshair board.
Both boards offer the newest 6.0 sata ports and USB 3.0, both are compatible with the same type of processor and both boards hold 16gb of DDR3 2000 ram (if your overclocked), both take 24 pin power cable, both have 6 sata 6.0 ports, both have NO VIDEO capability as is (you need a video card), both have the same 850 south bridge set, and both have a 3 year warranty.
So whats different your asking? The crosshair has 3 video card slots for running crossfire gpus, where as the M4A89TD only has 2.
Personally, I would go with the M4A89TD.
Hope that helps.
