Also, is there a thread for mobile games? There's a subforum for console/pc gaming but what about the mobile platform?

One more thing...I follow a youtube channel for Clash of Clans about a war clan named One Hive. There's a guy in that clan who's name is "acurazine" I figured it must be someone from here but couldn't find anything on this game.

 

I play... I'm totally game (pun intended) to get an AZ clan together.

The clan I'm in right now isn't very good at planning and the strategy is weak.

I play and have a lot of fun! Still learning but wouldn't mind joining an Acurazine clan ! Currently upgrading to TH8 should be finished in 4 more days

 

Don't you have to pay money to buy coins or something for that game?

 

I swore I'm having a déjà Vu moment here... Didn't you ask this exact question in ramblings thread. I think I answered it there but now you have me questioning my sanity.

You have the option of buying gems that will speed up wait times but you can play free and just be patients.

I was wondering when a thread about this would get created. I am surprised there was not one long ago. I have been playing for over a year now I think. I end up playing it more than console games just cause I can pick it up and play 5min here and there when I have a free moment. I have been playing Boom Beach that way as well since it came out.

 

Yeah Boom Beach is fun as well, I almost like it better than Clash because you can direct troops.

 

i played boom beach before too but it got boring. back when i played you only have 2 "builders" so i had long wait times before i could upgrade something else. and by the time that came around, my base got wrecked cuz it was holding so much loot.

anyway, i'm in a clan with a bunch of friends but i have a th8 that's almost maxed out. my main is a th9 which i'm in the middle of maxing out.

for those who have warred before, are you guys serious about it or just casual? the clan i'm in now, they're pretty serious about it but...the attacks used are bad. there's only a couple of my friends who actually take the time to strategize and try to think of a way around a base to 3 star it. everyone else...just dumps everything in and hopes for the best.

my clan is CMB. we have 42/50? i think. my village names are stakalicious and stak. feel free to look up me up if you want.

 

I've been playing for awhile now. I'm about half way through th8, I figure I'll have it maxed by end of sept.

 

I kind of wish I had kept TH8 and maxed everything out... I get hammered having a TH9... but I'm slowly maxing everything out at TH9. I'm not paying for anything, I just wait for special days and hoard gems so I can turn on my shield for a week and build up.

 

as long as you keep the grind up to max out your defense asap, you'll be fine. early th9 i would grab the gold for one upgrade (usually splash damage towers or AD first) and then spend it all on that upgrade. then i'd hoard the elixir for spend gold on walls till i used up my elixir for a unit upgrade or building upgrade then rinse and repeat. that way i only have 1 resource that's abundant at a time to prevent people from wanting to raid me. also keep my TH outside for a free shield whenever someone snipes it. also, use the gems for boosting barracks/spell factory/heroes for 2 hr raiding session. it's not worth it to spend gems on boosting your mines/drills. if you can spare 2 hours, a boost session yield such high rewards.

i normally barch in my raids. barbarians and archers and some wall breakers to open up walls. cost efficient way for me to raid at least. nowadays i use 12 giants, 60 barbs, 8 wb and the rest archers and a heal spell

 

Im at TH8 trying to max out before going to TH9. I gotta finish the black walls, 500,000 gold a pop and hidden teslas, air defense, and archer towers. Come to think of it i got a lot to do lol oh and one more wiz tower.

 

i recommend doing the splash towers or AD first. AD isn't 100% necessary to upgrade first unless you clan war a lot. at th8 a lot of people just dragon you. level 6 AD helps deter them. unless they take out all 3 AD, they can't get a 3 star on you. the more higher level techniques for 3 starring a th8 is GoHo...GOlem HOg combo attack with some clean up troops.

Also recommend doing archer if you're going ot war a lot as well.

for raiding at th8, my upgrade path is mortars, wiz, ad, archer, cannon, walls. oh and throw in the air sweeper whenever you can.

walls are kind of useless to upgrade at th8 till the end cuz you'll either get attacked with dragons/hogs in war and in raids, everything up to skull walls takes 2 wb to break open anyway. no benefit to upgrading to skulls if you have purple at this point.

was offering gnargasim advice on a defense upgrade path that i would do. the defenses you should upgrade first would change if you clan war a lot. i may not have worded that correctly. hahah
