I just won a prize at work ao I have a choice between the 2. Which one would you get?

 

i hate GTA and love metal gear so metal gear...

GTA FTW! Even after you beat the game, there is a still a ton of things to do, and it's fun.

 

tough choice...both are really good. once I beat GTA, I haven't played it since. I'll be playing metal gear a few times though. I couldn't pick one, you need both

 

Hard choice but I would go with GTA.

 

MGS4 all day!!!

 

I'd imagine GTA would have more replay value...? It is currently the only game I have for PS3, and it is fuckin amazing! The amount of the detail in this game is mind blowing...I don't even do the missions anymore, just go around and fuck up the city I do want to get MGS4 in the future though, but I might just rent it. Can't see myself playing through it two times.

 

MGS4...hands down. You can't beat the story, gameplay, graphics, music, detail, and replayability...

Seriously, this game is probably the best game I've played since...Ninja Gaiden Sigma.

 

MGS4 >>>>>>>>>>> GTA4

well thats what made the decision for me i think GTA is pretty lame...

 

MGS4 ftw. GTA gets old extremely fast.

 

I preferred GTA to MGS.

GTA has alot more content, and the openness of the game is incredible. There are tons of side missions you can play between the "story" sections, or you could just choose to just wander around the city and blow stuff up.

The graphics are great and all the people wandering around the city look different from each other. Tons of different vehicles driving around. The weather changes from sunny, to foggy, to rainy to stormy.

I would say that MGS has sharper graphics though. Story is very linear, but good storyline (even if I don't know alot of the the background story). Lots of cutscenes, but entertaining.

MGS is alot shorter, but does have replayability if you want to unlock alot of the secret stuff. I am playing it again on a harder difficulty to see if I can get some of the stuff. Plus I wouldn't mind playing Act 4 again, it was simply awesome.

Multiplayer on GTA was alot of fun, but I haven't tried it on MGS yet so can't give my opinion on it.

I never played any of the prior games in either series btw.

My suggestion would be to get either one as your prize and go buy the other one!

I have GTAIV, but haven't played it in two months.

 

GTA4

I picked up the bundle. Played MGS4 for about an hour over the first two days. Picked up Godfather the Don's edition and was/am hooked on it. It is based on the GTAIV engine so I hear.

So when I tire of God Father I will probably trade my MGS4 for Grand Theft Auto.

Just too slow a play for me. Too many long cut scenes. Amazing graphics and I guess a story if you stick with it or have played the first 3 games.

I perfer more action and less cut scenes.

 

GTA4. But I have to say, these games are polar opposites and for different types of gamers
