Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

Who else is playing/has beaten this game. I beat it a couple days ago, and I loved it. I played MGS 2, but dont remember much of the story. Regardless, I really liked the storyline in this game. The ending blew me away. What do you guys think? First time around i played on normal, I really wanna play extreme. Gonna take some patience though

man, waiting on the XBOX/PC version to come out... Game like that deserves better graphics treatment.

Played MGS Substance on XBOX long time ago, but still go back often. The gameplay, the cutscenes, the story are among the best.

Man this game is going to take me a while to beat. It's so slow and a lot tougher than the previous 2. I'm only up to the camp where they have Solokov. Please no spoilers.

I just beat that part and it was hard as hell. The game is slow and thats what I like about it, you have to plan every single step carefully. At first, I didnt like the fact that there is no more radar, but u kind of appreciate the realism of it after a while. I beat the Sokolov part and now i took a break to get back to GTA for a little while.

I think they slowed it down for the whole reason of people complaining how quick the others were. I think 9 hours tops each game. They also tell you to save it to rest your guy and the longer you save the more energy you get. Konami is telling me not to play the game. :p

its the lack of radar which makes it slow
but it makes perfect sense
the radar wasn't invented till MGS, which was invented by mei ling to be exact

Seriously I just got to the part where you have to go to the cave after you meet Eva where all the mines are.

Wow...that's hardcore.

But, at least you didn't say you beat a game like GT3 in one sitting.

I get so hyped with the GT games and then I completely lose interest, I have every GT game that came out, not even near half complete. I hate the races where your tires wear out

Well, I could see how a good game with a good storyline could keep a player going back for more. The Metal Gear series always had some of the best in both categories. Fortunately, the fear of the doghouse was enough to persuade me to put down the controller.

I spent countless months perfecting my cars in GT2 (PS1) and they were all perfectly tuned and all that, I just got tired of playing. GT3 is not even 20% done, Im not even at all excited about GT4, but it does look freakin amazing. I might just pick it up to try it out, but that game cant hold my attention for long.

Well, it's not for everyone. More than anything, the GT series is very precision-based. So, that takes alot of patience. But, if you want to talk about GT4, there's a thread started about it in this forum.

Grass, dirt, rocks, even when the ground doesn't make noise. Maybe I should tap the D little by little.
